Well, he is selling the phone on EBay, isn't he? Btw, I assumed something like this would happen. Most of the people will be very impressed and fascinated by the P800 when they try it for the first time, but, after some time it will just wear off and the P800 will become a boring, useless, too big, too heavy and too expensive toy. I hope that everybody here who is planning to buy one really need it (although, I doubt it).

Damn it.
Faca you're right.
It's hard to get everything you want (big display, small size, etc).

Well such is life.

lol..nice one pachy..

liek the other guy said, how could u have big display with a small phone..lol..unless your screen folds..hehehe..
i really need something like P800. Im not getting it for the camera or some of the cool games. I, getting it for the benefits i will get from the phone. I desperately need a phone that has a to do list and a phone that can play mp3s as ring tone(this si not desperate..lol)
i have a job and i need to organize myself an dhave everything on hand. I can use thise phone to do many things..thats why i want it. I know its bigger..but this is like a handheld PC. with functions liek cameras and mp3 and many other things..

Yea, me too, i use ipaq 3870 +t68i, & the p800 will do everything i use them for so my overall "package" will actually be smaller. That p800 is only as big as 3330, ita isa nota bigi problemo (getting ready for the italian version cos its out earlier than UK)

Faca: Most of the people out there waiting for the phone probably want it as a replacement for both their phones and pdas/laptops. It's the other people who buy the phone as a fancy toy without need for organiser, camera, MP3 player, media player, emailing, document viewing who will eventually find it a stupid weight to carry around.

If you belong in the latter, your money would be better spent on colourful covers and 'nice' looking phones like the 7210. Your time would also be better spent praising the 7210 in a Nokia forum than naysaying in an SE forum.

I know that it looks cool, but, the question is, do you really need such a big display on your mobile phone? I mean, really?

Faca,
what do u think??
ofcourse We all do if we want to browse through internet. I would like to atleast be able to read the text and only with a size like P800, u get to read it. I think anythin smaller wont be as easy on the eyes to read. Also, if u r going ot have spread sheets and word documents, u would want it to be a part of your whole screen instead of scrolling up and down for every word. also, all those nice other features, like th eMP3 camera..etc..takes some space so u know your phone has to be a little bigger. I, for one, always went to the smaller sizes but then, i need something professional that helps me in my work instead of going for looks and sms feature phone. I wanted it all and it seem slike P800 would do fine for now..
for the first time, its not the looks for me, but thefunctions..i do agree that nokia has the best designs and looks but I GOT FED UP WITH THEM. THEY ONLY RELEASE ONE TECHNOLOGY /PHONE. ITS AN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND THEIR DAMN PHONES R EXPENSIVE.

Faca:
I have no idea where you get some facts from, but it would be interesting if you shared your sources with the rest of us. For example, how can you claim that most of the people who buy a P800 will eventually think that it will become boring, useless and too heavy as a fact?

Of course you will not be as excited over the phone after a couple of months, but never the less, it will still serve it's purpouse (if it not brakes, that is). And now I'm talking about every product you buy, not just this mobile. These are some of the functions on the P800 that I know NEVER will become boring:

  • MP3-Player
  • Digital camera
  • Document viewer
  • PDA (To-do-list, calendar)
  • Web browser
  • Movie clip viewer

And all these thing presented on a big screen. So, no Faca, I will not get bored, I will not think it's too big and I will surtenly not think it's useless. And that's a fact.
