Looks like it is: cheap. As some people have said: Ricson comes come from "Ericsson". The style comes from SonyEricsson K610, that's right. And The word "Fun"...they didn´t even change the colors of that Samsung's mark!. It's an strange hybrid.

Pictures...2 Mp?. Never. 3 year-old Nokia 6230 takes better pictures within VGA camera.

And something I have never understood: why those stubborn chinese ones do keep using that old-looking, old-fashioned and ugly font style in their devices (some cell phones and low range mp3 and mp4 players)???

I think the screen res is something like 128x160! I've often wondered why they insist on that old fashioned font too, looks very outdated!

It's the real briteny track and not a rip off, though there is a rip off of that 'numa numa' song on there!

Yes, that camera isn't the best, I've got a Moto V3 and will post a pic from that for comparison.

Another annoyance I've found is that you can't add words to the T9 dictionary, you have to type unknown words th old fashioned way.

It is though quite a slim and light phone, feels ince in the hand, though that could be the lack of proper features!

Just for comparison here's a picture of the same area that I took with a rather scratched V3 with over 2,100 hours on the clock:

To me the picture quality is better on the V3 pic - and yes, that is my foot in the corner of the pic!

This 'K610i' does record video too - but for some reason saves it in a .vid format with a sound file next to it from what I can see - very strange!

Alas, the Ricson K610i is just too much phone for me, so is up for sale on Ebay, either have a bid or buy it now for £39.99 - click the link in my sig to find the auction!

Spamming and blatent plugging aside, I've just recieved and fixed a genuine K610i, so thought before the Ricson goes I'd post some comparison pics:

The K610i could do with a new housing, so bear that in mind:

Next few pics show the difference in thickness of the two phones, surprisingly the Ricson phone is actually thinner:

Can't the WTO do anything about this and what about lawyers? If this happened anywhere else in the world you'd wake up the next morning with a heavy law suit hanging over your head.

hey if it detects as a normal usb drive, that may mean it's fully usb2 compliant. This thing's cable connection may run at 480Mbps! That would be it's only advantage of K610

We have chinese versions of any conceivable bestseller phone being sold in shops here. P990i, M600i, K750i, W800i, N72, N70, D520...... The list is endless.
Funny, but these imitations look sleeker than the originals. The chinese P990 for instance is thinner than the original, and comes in shinny stainless steel and black keys.

There's also a copy of the N91, which isn't as huge as the real one, just take a look at miss uk's thread :

they are smaller, because they have cheaper hardware and less features and lower specs than the originals. For example the "K610" has no bluetooth, no IR and a VGA camera (a vga camera module is half the volume of a 2MP version). So they are gonna be smaller! But I bet when you hold one it feels a hell of a lot more flimsy and cheap than a real K610

Actually, the 'K610' doesn't feel too flimsy, the chassis/facia does have a reasonable quality feel about them, though as stated the actual components are rather cheap. I tried recording a video with the phone, and looking in the file folders it seems to have saved the 'video' in some strange format, with the audio in one file and images in another if I've read it right?

It does seem to auto-recognise as a USB drive, though not checked as to whether it's USB 2 or not, though when connected to a non-USB2 connector I don't get the usual Windows 'This device could operate faster' bubble!

fair enough about it not feeling flimsy. In the pictures the K610 looks more accurate and finely molded than the "610".
