Just thought I would give you an update on this one. Got my N95 on Friday last week. Went to CPW and ended up paying £10 for the handset on Flext35 with Web n Walk. Monthly total of £42.50 on an 18 month contract. Also go the 3 year navigation voucher free and a 1gb memory card for 20 quid.

Have to say that initial experiences are very positive and that the Maps function appears to work well. Satellite fix was a couple of mins and download speeds from T-Mobile seem very quick. Have no 3g coverage at home but have a wireless router so no problem there and got set up very easily on to it.

Took some pics and video on Friday evenning and Saturday, the video is excellent and the pics were sharp and crisp. I currently own a k800i and the results were as good for me in the circumstances. Video was great although the mix pics up a little too much wind noise for my liking. Apart from that it was very smooth and picture quality was excellent. I will try and post a few samples if I can.

The handset from T-Mobile has no exterior branding and only the homepage and Web N Walk branding internally. Very minimal indeed.

Altogether the deal suited me and I will have to wait 2 weeks before I can port my number (as far as I know) as I will not be in my last month of contract until then. (Any experience of this would be helpful - am on O2 with CPW)

Didn't really want to take out an 18 month contract but figured as I have Insurance I can break the contract after 6 anyway so no biggies (with the exception of losing my number).

Set up to be able to post to my Flickr account which worked perfectly. Wondered about anything similar for posting to YouTube directly as well. Anyone? Also, on my K800i I can post to my Blogger account. Can I do similar using Lifeblog?

So that's it from me, hope this is helpful to any porspective N95 buyers looking at T-Mobile and O2 contracts. The Web n Walk is fantastic and it is a revelation being able to use the web without fear of huge costs. I can see this is going to be the future. Finally coverage in Northern Irealnd (Belfast and North Down areas anyway) seems to be pretty good. I appear to be in a 3g blackspot at home but apart from that I am very happy.

T-Mobile seems to have a very big Branding issue on there phones
so personally go for a 02 contract as there handsets are unlocked and only have slight 02 things here and there on the phones

as far as i know, if you have insurance through CPW and you want to make use of the contract breaker, you do realise you will also have to return your handset back to CPW. So if u thinkin of selling it and then breakin the contract when u want to do so, i'll recommend u not doing that lol, just thought i add that point. cuz i dont think they explain the contract breaker option clearly CPW.

@Miss Uk - Branding is next to nothing on my N95 from T-Mobile - it is locked though

@Miyagi - Hadn't realised that and at no point was it explained to me that that was the case. Spoke to various CPW representatives on the matter and it is news to me. Thanks for the heads up though.

@Miss UK,

T-Mobiles branding as said by many is minimal and if you intend to use Data as this is a Data centric device their really is no contest as 02 will cost you an absolute fortune. Lastly if you want the phone unlocked T-Mobile will sell you the code for far less than you will spend on Data with 02. 02 where meant to be launching competitively priced Data plans and failed and many are now leaving them due to this.

T-Mob have good deals on GPRS as said many times,
Im hacked off due to the fact 02 can't offer anything good atm with that but despite that 02 are a pretty good network ive never had any problems with them and they do seem to bend there backs for me sometimes

I would go for T-Mobile if I hadn't had my 02 contract but there coverage isn't that good round at my mates end where I also am moving to soon.

Three have really good deals today ending they had £15 line rental - 600 Free text / 75mins of anytime calls and for £2.50 you get 10MB GPRS so not bad for £17.50 per month that..

Well, that is what pushed me over to them. I have been with O2 for 8 years and have had no problems with them at all. Great service and coverage, no probs abroad etc. As I was getting the N95 which is really focused on web based apps and usage I just figured it was time to move. Like may of the people on this board, I had been holding out for new data tarrifs from O2 but when they failed to materialise then I had no choice.

Arguably I could regret it if O2 bring out their new data tarrifs but to be honest, I am pretty impressed with T-Mobile so far.

@slymove

If you are going to be able to take full advantage of your nice new toy then you've done the right thing by moving over to t-mobile. The new Vodafone and O2 data tariffs have been red herrings.

People just don't want to be restrictred by extortionate data tariffs when they have already paid a premium price for their devices.

Any news from Orange or Virgin on data deals?

@GoldenFace,

No idea about Orange and i have never understood Virgin not offering good Data tariffs as they are a virtual network that run on T-Mobile you would of thought it would be easy for them. Unless of course T-Mobile are not being cooperative.
