I wonder why the xenon flash didn't explode.

The flash is on the opposite side of the phone which was away from the fire as you can see from the damage.

Nice work!

And I'm also amazed with how tough the phone is. Pity the joystick isn't as resistant...

How come? None of us would like to see our phones on fire, even if it's a nokia. Though there were some guys that put a k700 inside the microwave oven just for fun

oh my! i think im gonna have a nightmare... *faint*

i feel so sorry for the owner of that phone... but its a good thing the phone still works! hurray K800i!

btw... someone pointed out that the flash could have exploded but it didnt because the burn happend on the opposite side... the opposite side contains a far more dangerous object underneath it: the separate mini-battery that charges the xenon flash (i know there is one there)... imagine if that exploded in fire! the phone could have never made it out alive.

anyway, speaking of K800 survival tests, i would also like to relay that not only have we seen here that the phone survives minor burns... it also survives ant attacks! Yes, ANTS... as in the insect! My phone had some ant intruders last month! The buggers entered my phone through the gap in the sliding lens cover. Good thing them ants didnt mess up any internal workings eh!
