hello at all, I was watching the photos of k850 and I did not like… I believe that she comes in another design. it is necessary to remember that they are not official photos….single it is a prototype…

the first time i saw the spy pics of w880...i almost puked,but then after the official release i kinda liked it..
so maybe after the official release of k850 with minor chngs it might look better!
but why does it lack a camera cover??

i still think the W880 if extremly UGLY & the new K850 is UGLY too & without
the camera cover for me it can't be called cybershot. |

Nobody knows whether it will have a lens cover or not as this is not the finished design.

I don't think that's gonna be the definite design. it's not convenient at all. so I foresee a lot of changes for that model. here are my hopes for the final thing:
»NO joystick this time, and it looks like it is something they're not thinking about (at least in the prototype).
»Better pic quality.
»ABSOLUTELY better video quality.

Maybe it does have a lens cover, but its open? I dont see why sony ericsson would go backwards. I think the w880 is really nice. I like the slim design. For the people that dont like this design, lets just hope this isnt the final design. I just hope the keypad doesnt wear off on the k800 successor! |

I'm with DonJuan on this.
Instead of cramming more pixels in (which actually makes the camera worse in low light, all other things equal) they should go back to 2Mpx (or stay at 3) but with a better lens and higher quality sensor.
Most camera phone pics are used for MMS or emailing, not full size prints, so the extra pixels are unnecessary - it's just spec-wars like the bhp wars between German car makers!
But then I suppose most punters aren't too interested, they just see more pixels=better, and SE need to look at sales potential. Shame.

@jmbillings yeah i agree. I think if they are going to improve the mega pixel's each time ppl are going to maybe substitute their digi cam for a phone. Its more convenient and you always have your phone on you! I love my k800 in day and where there is a lot of light but at night its just not happening. I'm really not interested in more mega pixel's. A perfect example of this is the N95 it doesnt even have a xenon flash right? Why have 5 mega pixels and then no xenon flash? |

not all cybershots have to have an external lens cover like the k800 |

Yeah but its not really a rumour that one is coming out. We know there will be a successor the pictures are what are rumoured. My question has been missed in this topic |
