So there are "detectives" of SE in here....
Anyway , so SE does not respect the Esato owners? It didnt thank them at any time for the good advertisment they do for sony ericsson?

This has been discussed loads of times before, and it keeps popping up.
Orange UK & Nokia also monitor this forum, along with many others who we will never know about. |

I think if anyone should know, WAPCHIMP should.
Its a good idea for organisations to monitor forums like this - they must get some valuable feedback, get knowledge of upcoming releases, discover bugs etc. We know what handsets are coming out before most people in Orange shops do.

no, of course not. where would the impartiality be then? and how much would it be censored?
I mean, Esato is quite a "fansite" right now with harsh words to people posting against SE products even if they have a valid point, and especially if they are Nokia owners it seems.
How would this place be if it was not independant?
nope. I think its better as is though it would be nice to see more open input from SE rather than all this backdoor stuff we get from people in the know. But then I guess that would help people in the know.
Mind you, if they had dedicated technical people who went around the forums that would be a great help instead of us always having to find solutions by chance or from the few really good people around.
but perhaps thats another story...

i think esato should hire some workaholic guys and release a firmware for uiq, and make some NEW models, not phones like k810, w660 and w880.these phones have 90% same characteristics all in different designs.
im starting to hate

@masseur
When you put it like that it does seem a bit sad, us having to work out issues/problems by ourselves with no help from employees.
I know there are some in the developers site but I think an awful lot goes on here too.
Wouldn't it be cool if we had a sort of 'workshop', taking place one day / morning each week, whereby an employee was made available to answer purely technical questions and answer to issues about phones.

Are you an employee and if so is Esato talked about a lot where you work?
It could be that the case is so
Well, the forum are mentioned sometimes and links are sent around. So it's not totally anonymous. |

Well thats certainly good to know.
So you're saying some employees do use Esato or pick up on stuff they find interesting/useful and pass it on?
