I havent recieved my t68i because of the reasons in my orange.co.uk post but should recieve it tomorrow. How long do I have to wait for it to charge for the first time? I cant wait 20hours, im dying to use this phone cos its finally a phone you can say is better than nokia. I would have said my current t39m is but... well... its not. Only had the phone 3 months and its driving me mad , had to get rid.

Coramoor - you will definitely get alot of good use as well as pleasure from your new T68i. Every day I appreciate this phone, and I walk around knowing that my T68i is supirior to most other phones.

Every cent you paid for it is worth it.
Having a t68i makes me wonder why i even bothered using crappy, limited feature nokias .. Oh yeah, t68's weren't invented yet. ;-)

thank you all.
I am honored to be welcomed into esato.
Esato is actually part of what makes ericsson phones so great.
Free stuff.
I'm not certain about the 20 hours anymore..
It may have been true for those crappy ni-mh batteries that nokias cheaper models use. But I don't think it is true for lithium batteries
Even the manual say that I only need to charge it until it's fully charged. |

just realised this phones only yet quite major flaw. Doesn't have x-press ons. I know this reduces quality but if u ever manage to scratch the screen and dont have some form of insurance on ur phone then ur pretty much screwed. Even though it is not flush with the rest of the phone it could still easily happen. |

You can use up the juice in your battery (when you first get the T68i the battery has some power in it). After it expires (relatively quickly, recharge overnight for 12-16 hours, that should be fine. Have done this with 2 of the phones and the battery life is still as good as it was after 9 months continuous use.
If you want to protect your phone (no changeable covers) you can buy a rubber condom case for your phone which are available in different colours. Look on eBay etc. This gives your phone a second rubber skin. Just the bottom connectors for power etc. are exposed.
If you damage your phone shell, there are places on the web (or search Esato) where people can help.

yeh but it is a major hassle when compared to xpressons. And why use a case? ur hiding the fact you have the daddy of phones. I know this has nothing to do with this topic but has anyone noticed how phones are getting bigger again? Anyone with a 6110, 5110 or even 6210 is considered to have a brick but if you look the p800 isn't far off and neither is that new nokia 3G phone with shock horror an ariel!

Phones are getting bigger partly because technology hasn't minitured the newer components yet, this will happen though. Most of the larger phones also tend to be for people who like the larger keypads etc. or they're budget phones with cheaper larger components.
As for the condom case, that's IF you want protection (and it's a clear rubber design that can come in a variety of tints so you can still see the phone underneath).
The T68i wasn't designed with the fashion clip-on covers, but I knew that when I got mine!
