No need to flash. Just get a file explorer (e.g. fileman, fexplorer) and find out why your c: drive (or phone memory) is full. Remember that some installed programs do store some files in c: eventhough you specified install to card. | |

| yeah... I mentioned elsewhere that I clear cache/history etc after every wap-browser session. YET, one day I used profimail on my e61 - it has a built-in file-explorer. Discovered appr. 5mb of old stuff in c:/cache... 5mb! Deleted that via file explorer, and indeed gained some 5mb... Also, apps that you just delete might still "hang around"... I have uninstalled and deleted application, and later on downloaded them again, and the installer says "app. so and so already exists"... So, be sure you didn't miss something!!!
did you back-up phone-memory to card? Any differences? Back-up via pc-suite and check the log! Who knows what you'll find...

| man, slow down: 350kb??? I'm not that familiar with n72, but you'll need 5-10mb to back-up the phone memory to the memory card! 350 kb!!! Hat kind of memory card do you use? Delete some songs etc... better yet, do as boba says, back-up to pc!Did your phone not come with pc-suite? A cd-rom with a set of nokia programmes to manage your phone? You install that, connect your phone to the pc, etc... it's fairly straightforward! if you have no access to a pc, try a different memory card (did you format your memory card?)??? Sorry, more questions than answers, but what you are describing sounds strange, and you're giving us info bit by bit... But 350kb is nothing! 1mb = 1000kb. My last phone back-up contained 23mb = 23.000kb...

350KB is phone memory, not memory card. I also am unable to backup on PC as the phone hangs up and connection gets lost. |

| o.k., so 350kb phone memory free... how do you connect to pc? Usb-cable I hope!? If "the phone hangs up", is the cable properly connected?
Is your phone's infrared or bluetooth switched on? You cannot connct via usb when IR or bt are "on"! When you connect to pc via cable, the phone should ask you wether you want to connect via a) pc suite b) data transfer c) modem...
For connection to pc suite/for back-up/appl.install etc. choose "a)"... Did you drop your phone? Take out memory card and restart phone without memory card. Tghen insert memory card while phone is on... Does phone "recognise" the card (it's what I had to do after my e61 flew a good 20metres of my car roof! Thanks to luck and a good krusell case it's immaculate, but at first it wouldn't "see" the memory card... For now that's all I can think of...
Good luck!

It connects perfectly to PC via cable, and i cant transfer stuff, but as soon as i click the backup button in PC suite, my phone hangs up and the connection gets lost.
I am more than happy to flash, but i want my SMSs back after the flash. |

| right...??? if you can't copy sms's to memory card (which you would remove for flashing anyway)... can't you sent them to another phone (via bluetooth, e.g.), and then, when your phones been flashed, washed and scrubbed clean, you send them back???
