Can't some1 petition this to SE? I'm sure a lot of loyal SE users would benefit if this would push through.

To check if your unit is T68 chinese (mc or ie)
a) remove the battery, and read the labels near the SIM slot
b) your keypad has chinese characters
c) settings > language > menu will show automatic, english and some weird characters (chinese) |

@stick to the topic!
for the benefit of everyone (t68mc users), collective look for the said shop in GH na naga-upgrade. then post nyo na dito agad.
and for all those persons we know that is interested on buying a SE unit, please discourage them to buy one at GH or any gray market areas.
lastly, di bobo SE, its not the phone, its the user.

Although it's true that Semicon Philippines has sucky customer support, that's THEIR problem, not Sony Ericsson itself.
And one more thing, if you can't handle SE products, bahala ka sa buhay mo. Kaya nga may Nokia phones, eh. Idiot-proof. Kung alam nyo lang kung gaano ako nahirapan sa kaka-configure ng t68i ko, ewan ko na. I had to wade through tons of threads before I finally got the e-mail client to work. Nasa iyo lang naman yun, eh.
Nokia = simplicity, nice design
SE = everything else

did SE Phils advise the public that they are not supporting t68mc units? i think it's most unfair to those who patronized original ericsson products if they don't get any support from the local representative. buti sana kung fake yung mga t68mc units sa gray market, i would understand if there's no support available.
pero blaming SE Phils for this unfortunate incident is useless. it's like crying over spilled milk.
if someone gets to know where t68mc units can be upgraded locally, please do share it here. |
