My T106. I still use it. Its actually a mono-band so that's why there's no letter in its name. Mine only worked on the 1900 band but there's also an 850 version. Back in its day it actually competed with a Nokia 1100 but it had a better feature set that included a WAP browser! Mind you, with no GPRS.

T616, Before that I had the really popular Nokia 5110 (or a variant of that same style) I love my T616, it was one of the best phones n the market when it first came out, everyone was ohhing and ahhing over the built in camera, and bluetooth, and the really clear color screen.
I had that phone for about 4 years, and Now I have the K800. I was about to buy a K750 until I saw the K800 was coming soon on SE's website. How was I to know soon meant up to 1 year, LOL oh well, I have the K800, and I love it! |

T610 isn't legendary - it just followed in the T68i's footsteps.
1) I'd like to remind everyone that owned a T68 to carefully remember that the T68i is an SE phone while the original T68m is an ERICSSON!
2) T610/616/630/etc was like SE following Nokia's MAD mass production mass rebranding line of (5500 series 6xxx series). I see newbs complain that SE was copying Nokia lately with mass produced phones, lol they just don't know when it began. Remember other than the P800 (before this was released) this WAS the top tier phone.
3) I cannot personally participate because I owned a T39m & T18z (in vice versa order). well maybe I can but here is my phone history....
T18z (Fido branded - just the screen saver power on & small sticker)
T39m (lasted only 3 mths before it got crushed)
T39m (lasted almost a full year before i had to sell it)
T39m (another 4 mths of beauty gave to a friend that was desperate for one)
z500 (3mths, Horrible phone - jumped ship to a Nokia 6620 for 8mths after)
z520i (very quality phone despite most ppls issue with pictures of their pocket)
K750i ( for 3mths the wife made me sell it - over spent)
w810i (I'm keeping this puppy till it wears out!)
upgrading soon need a smartphone as its my job to support BB units.
Funny thing is since the T39 I've never had a phone that DIDNT have Bluetooth > and never had a phone that didn't give me more than 5hrs continuous talk time off a full charge! I don't buy phones every 4mths like the next showboating cat > I buy quality thats built to last and features that will keep me satisfied > even if I crave the next best thing > I'm content. Also my phone must fit in my jeans/jogging pants/track pants/dress pants front pocket without damage of bulge or weight!
Thank you Ericsson for starting us on the right track and keeping Sony in line with products that they alone couldn't design just as well.

My first phone and First SE Phone is the T100. I had it early in 2004. it was love at first sight. compared to the nokia, i find the blue backlight and super clear LCD (compared to 3310, 1115, etc) exellent. but, it was locked to a network that doesn't support WAP. so, after a few months, i had it unlocked, and got to know my phone better. I had WAP! that sensation as i may call it didn't last very long though, the phone somehow slowed down and had to replace it with the nokia 3200(Shame on me!!!) but after a year, i wasn't satisfied with it an bought my current phone standing proud with my K608i.
-I was born to be an SE fan!!!

WOW I didn't realise Esato moderator still keep T39 as an avatar
but then the first phone i get is good old PH388 from my dad....used to hate Ericsson product but then the preference build up until now I can't use other brand.
But then the best is still T39...it died last year since the antenna housing is cracking (suspect plastic fatigue). |
