Right, I give up with trying to dismantle my K800 to try and short thr battery, I'm going to be posting it for repair! LOL I just hope they can fix it for me as I don't have the origanal recipit of purchase with the IMEI on it, just an Ebay recipit.
Sorry Sony Ericsson, I'm moving back to Nokia, I kinda fancy the N93... I fell in love with the idea of the N95 with it's Wifi and GPS positioning, but then looked at the price it would prob be, but I'm no way going over the £500 mark for one! |

Before you end it off, I didn't need to take mine apart. I just removed the battery and shorted the terminals which are visible looking into where the battery sits. I used a teaspoon as it was the closest thing to hand that would short all 3 at once!
Have a look at some of the photo's on my site, they can be quite good (no adult content!) |

Sorry the flood in JKT kill my internet connection. I am without net for a week.
Well R1GB and EROM CID51 just appear in late December 06/January 07 so I think your EROM CID is definately still 49. Not sure about EROM ver as some country still sell K800 with R3A011 (like Indonesia) and some like Singapore seems to reflash their k800 to R3A016 before selling. Just do *>**<* and see at software info what version is your EROM (second from top).
Newest Kulan 1.44 can update even EROM CID51 so it is going to work regardless your EROM CID now (wotan too). Try to use kulan/kulan as login password to Update EROM version. I hope kulankendi haven't change their policy or you may need to buy credit first (although that credit won't be used up if you update EROM Ver)!
So in summary:
You can't update EROM CID (from 49 to 51) for free though. Updating EROM CID need 1 credit. But you can update EROM VERSION (from R3A011 to R3A016 or to fix WSOD/can't turn on) for free.

This EROM isn't a problem anymore. Wotan and Kulan can do that for real. Someone said no credits needed..no need to buy anything..don't know it's true or not. If it is, what a relief. |

I've tried the battery terminal shorting, I've had a bit of tin foil stuck in the phone for 3 days... Still no luck with it though. I'm getting a brand new K800 in 2 weeks, so the old one will prob be up 4 grabs. |

You need to press button 2 and 5 together for EROM update instead of C. Also ppl said wotan client work just leave the login/password blank. |

I can't get wotan Client to see the phone. I have the lead installed and phone plugged in by pressing 2 &5 together, and tried pressing c too.
Kulan client wants a user name and password, of which I don't know. I've tried kulan/kulan as suggested, but no luck. |

Well, last thing you migth try is using other computer. Preferably a freshly installed Win XP. I got perfectly working phone that can't be recognised by wotan, kulan, or SEUS. I use other computer and it work. Sometime it is the PC not the phone that can't talked. If all fails then you must bring it to authorised service centre as I heard they can force flashed the phone (using service cable).
Note: Also it is important to have fully charged batt! And don't forget to take out the shorting lead before putting your batt back to the phone!

PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
I tried every possible ways to reflash my k800i dead phone and still it does not work. There is no flashing LED. The phone just does not turn on.
When I plugged in the USB cable that came with the phone to the PC, it does not recognize the phone. I have my phone battery fully charged. Reinstalled the sony PC suite on 3 different computers and tried the Wotan software on 3 different computers. Still the PC did not recognize my phone.
When I tried plugging in my other k750i, every single computer I used recognized this k750i, but not the k800i. |
