It is advertised as a new refurb and im ok with that and the ebay item specfics says refurb, never had any problem advertising phones in such a way.
Its going good thanks but need this phone to sell at a profit!

Youd actually have to advertise it as refurbed, as the phone is outdated.
Then again its not like im helping anybody.
ill just shut up. |

Keep it up though, you do get rough patches, which should be smoothed out by the good sales.
I've had mixed fortunes with the D500 and it's data ribbon, now the buyer's paid with a Paypal eCheque which apparently won't clear till the 30th! it'll work itself out

Yeah, i will have broken even with the little profit made on postage so not really a loss so far but am not happy as i have seen these phones in worse condition go for much more!

That's what can be a bit gutting, like I've seen D500s go for quite a bit more than what mine did, I was ideally hoping for at least £10-£20 more, but can't complain really, it's a bit of a step forwards!

I got a really good bargain on a Sony vaio laptop last week £90

ideally I wanted something for browsing the net downstairs im abit cold sitting at my pc 24-7 not that I do
best things always happens to those who wait indeed it did

@miss uk - managed to get that other Samsung working fine, just sold it!
Though recieved another D500 today in a little job lot of phones, it's camera/video functions weren't working. Stuck in a spare data ribbon from when I was messing about with the other D500, all working fine now! Might have that and the other phones that came with it as the next stage in my experiment, not sure yet.

I hoped it wouldn't come to this but as you can see the thread has not been update and there hasn't been anything going on for a while.
The experiment is going to be abandoned due to a lack of time but if it ever takes off again in the future i will be sure to let you know!
I would like to take this chance to encourage other to do this as it can reap great rewards and is great for learning about mobile phone repairs as you come across a variety of phones and models.
Thanks to everyone who has supported the experiment so far and thanks to everyone who wished me luck.
