u can do it with the card reader but in the fone as well, it simple. just go to the memory settings, choose mem stick, then more, it will be shown there "format mem stick"

yup most likely thing is corruption of the memory card, so that's where you should start troubleshooting. Don't master reset before trying that.

But if you get nowhere with the format or restart, try the master reset.

Guys, it is the memory stick! I inserted the old 64mb and tested the cam, the image was clear! Now what am i suppose to do with this 1gig? can it still be saved?

yep, it may have been affected by a strong magnetic field somewhere along the line.

If this is the problem then a format should sort it out

actually, is it the same to format the card in the fone or in the crad reader?

with card reader you can choose formating type(fat,ntfs..)

@sasha the question was pointed if its a sandisk, sony etc there was several threads about fake or corrupted mem sticks in the past on esato, so i dared to ask, what kind is it, hope u dont mind.
