What is wrong with it, or does it just need a new facia?

£30 may be a bit too much, I'd be looking for something closer to £20 if poss

Right, the D500 has sold for £46.05, so that is my budget now. I'm also looking on Ebay, but would prefer to my next phone off someone here.

So, what have you got?

Is that a joke, firstly he only has £46.05 for his budget, and secondly even if he did sacrificing going a bit over for £55 you can pick up a boxed and unlocked K750i!!!!

Right, am after the next phone in my experiement, this time for around the £60 mark. What have you got? Same as before, need something with a hardware fault, or just a bit tatty or needing sprucing up.

Let me know!

£70 gets you a boxed MDA compact with a microphone fault.
I know for certain that its just a bad contact as I have had it apart before and it worked for a couple of seconds.

Just cant be bothered to take it apart again.

I have unlocked it and it is flashed with unbranded firmware.

What kind of mic is it, is it the type that has prongs or a little circular one?

It's slightly out of my budget but tempting to put a little extra to it - could you manage £65?

If I remember correctly its actually circular with little prongs on it
Its not the microphone actually .. its the speaker .. a fairly common fault with the compact.
I have just sold the Orange version M500 on Ebay in the last few minutes for £120 + £10 postage .. can send you the link if you want so I think £70 incl postage is a fair price considering it just needs taking apart.

Thanks for the offer, though i've had to suspend the experiment for now due to a lack of funds, will hopefully be able to resume it again soon
