W810i or K750i? |

Yup, I did the same thing, got myself the HPM-70. I like being able to use my own earphones with my K750. It's a great phone, even after taking into account every single shortcoming that it may have, I'm sure the K750 can still prevail over many other lesser models.

Thanks for the posts guys! I know the problem with the K750i is its joystick and from what i've heard, the W810i problem is its screen... is that true? if it is, i'll be getting K750i... The problem with me not getting the W810i is the bucks man! but if i have it, i'll go for the W810i.... |

I've had no problems with my W810i screen, I think both handsets are prone to 'white screen of death' problems from time to time, but I don't think one handset is more vulnerable to this than the other.

I'd go for the K750, just because it is a lot cheaper. Otherwise the media player is all that you're gaining.
The joystick is a worry for long term users though.

I don't think lack of a camera lens cover is a down side. W810 was design not to have one. This however doesn't change the camera performance of the phone. Yea internal memory is slightly reduced but overall, i don't think the difference is material enough to influence one's decision to buy. The MS duo of the two phones have huge difference. If you're a heavy user then you'll not like the joystick in the longrun. I strongly recommend you get a w810 but
Since cash is your limiting factor, then go for the k750. |

The biggest disadvantage of the w810 to the k750 is that lens cover; not because of the protection but mainly because you can start the camera so easily & quickly.
The 512MB memory stick pro duo in the w810 accounts for some of the price difference. If you are in the America's, you'll find the 4th band very important. |

ill go for the k750i, instead of w810, which is almost as expensive as the k800. my girlfriend's k750i, 13-14 months old and NEVER had a problem with it!

I have a SE W810i since half a year.
I have only identified two major drawbacks that I think should be subject to future improvements when it comes to that otherwise excellent mobile phone:
- It has no camera lens cover.
The camera lens anti reflexion protection coating (or something like that) has begun to show some tiny marks and scratches in the centre of it. And that is after only half a year of careful handling. Fortunately I have not seen any bad pictures due to that fact. At least not yet.
- It has somewhat too less internal memory capacity.
The mobile phone cannot contain more than approximately something like 100 applications (programs), 30 themes and 40 games at a time.
But still, I recommend the W810i. It is really a very compact and competent mobile phone.
I have to mention that I have never used a SE K750i.

@BobaFett: I am referring to the mobile phones internal memory.
Applications (programs) are always stored in the internal memory, probably to obtain quicker access to them than would be possible if they were stored on the memory stick.

I never noticed that on the mem card or stick stored apps, games etc are slower
