@vrl29 - You're right, I know all that, but my flash hasn't arrived yet, I ordered it on e-Bay, I'm still expecting it. Anyway, thanks for your advice.
@jojo - I agree it certanly stands out! Thanks

I do own the A40 and I've always compared with my K750i. While the A40 will win clearly, I can't use it to call, text
Like some of you, I'm sticking with the K750i until something really great comes out from SE. I've been playing with my mate's K800i and while it's great I don't think it's a big upgrade apart from 3G. |

@arnoldc - Maybe that's just me but to me colors on photos taken by K750i look more real, I don't know about you. As you said we can't use Canon to call,SMS... and it's quite bigger and havier than K750i

@salih - I forgot to add - Nice Presentation dude ! But I just remember some folks here (who have in UNISON - agreed) that we just cannot TOTALLY compare camfones with those of DIGICAMS As digicam's main function is to capture images (camera) . . . taking videos is just secondary . . . if we are to compare the K800 with that of a 3.2 MP Sony Cybershot, there and THERE wil be EVEN a SMALL discrepancy when camshots will be compared.

First of all, I'd like to say this is a great thread salih, those were very good photos you took. Somehow I'm not able to get as good quality pictures with my K750. Then again, I haven't really tried taking photos outdoors. My night shots usually come out a little discoloured. Personally, I feel that the photos you took with your K750 look better than those you took with the Canon. Like you said, the colours seem more natural for the photos taken with the K750. There seems to be a sunny effect for the photos you took with your Canon.
Jojo, I agree with the general sentiment that digicams and phonecams should not be compared too seriously, but I'm still pretty amazed at some of the photos taken with the K750. I'd have thought they were taken with a real digital camera if I didn't know better. Camera phones have not replaced dgital cameras, and maybe they never will, but I love the convenience of having a decent camera in my phone for those moments when I don't have a digital camera around. I'm sure most of us feel that way, so one thing for sure is that camera phones are here to stay.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

Thanks for the comparison SaLiH..!
K750's CMOS sensor seems to produce better images than the 4-year-old CCD by Canon. Suberb Camphone, even though it has lower video performance than its Nokia counterparts.
This phone is a legendary model already, one of the best ever produced. Let's wait and see what other model will outbest it.. |

great thread. this thread just reinforced the respect i have for the k750i. i've always been a mobile phone freak (phones do not last 3 months with me!) but now i am finding it almost impossible to replace my k750i. everytime i decide to replace it with something else (m600i, p990i, etc.), i take one look at it and i say to myself "i cannot possibly let go of my k750i..."
IMHO, the k750i is one of, if not the greatest mobile phone ever produced -- balance of features and design. i simply love it. i mean who in their right mind wouldn't? |

Your comparing a modern phone to a seriously out of date camera?? Pretty pointless TBH. I did the same test between my w810i and my ixus 60.. but the results were laughable as the w810i just couldnt compete so i didnt post them.
Even the k800 is way off the mark at the moment. Its good enough for taking a nice selction of pics... but when it comes to night shots, macro shots, zoom shots, effects shots etc etc it still has a long way to go before it gets near replacing a decent digital camera - not one thats 4 years old!

@JJ wow what a pointless post you make... Considering most people on here have already Agreed that the comparison is Great and that the results of the K750 are trully phenomenal considering all the handicaps (tiny censor, tiny lens). I would take my K790 head to head with my Toshiba 3.2mp camera - True the Toshiba did have various aperature but still, I can make it aperature priority and the results would be remarcably close. I think that once you know the limitations of the camera phone (be it k750 or k800) a good photographer can get great photos out of both.

@deluded - Yeah mate . . . yeah . . .
@jj - Well what can I say mate .. . . I remember when an old professional-photographer friend once told me that . . . we should not TOTALLY base the outcome of those images with the kind of camera that we used: SLR/DSLR/Camfone. He told me too that he onced BEAT an entry wherein the photographer used a 12 MP DSLR, whilst he just took some shots (later became an entry) using his OLD SLR camera (uses film) . . . it will depend on the settings used . . . and the the MAGIC hand (snapshots) of the photographer . . . after all.
