The K310 worst is really the screen, its hurts the eyes and its slow as hell. the K510 is way better, its got bluetooth, 28mb instead of 15mb and you really notice the difference in 1.3 and 0.3, its a way more responsive cam. |

I also think you'd be better off with the k510 if you don't mind the extra cost from the k310.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

If you can afford the 510, you should definately go for it. It has better (less teen if you worry about that) looks and the 1.3 cam takes decent pictures; the difference with a vga-cam is big (bigger than 1.3-2.0 mpx). The 15mb is a bit tight, but if you use it only for the pictures you'd take with the 310 it should do; you'll need the 28mb of the 510 for the bigger pictures.
If you can afford the 510, you'll be satisfied longer with it, meaning that you'll be able to set aside some more money for a new one once you start working. If you can't find a 700 or afford a 750 but you value your mobile, the 510 is probably the best value you can get in your budget, it is a very complete phone and you'll like the bluetooth. If it is only a month or two before you start in your job you might consider sweating it out that time with your 290 (after all it still is a SE, and all SE's are okay by definition, especially the 290 which has this special look). |

I recommend it. k-310 is good enough to have at this stage. May be compared to k7 etc the resolution is a bit lesser. Still lets not forget it is
a SE brand, cheap and best again. |

O.k. let me say something and two to you people here on Esato and outsiders. I bought my k310 in November and I'm loving it. It has some disadvantages yes but who cares. I am not working so I don't see the need to get what I can’t afford. I am such a Phone freak just like every one here but, the way you people talk about phones sometimes just make the manufacture looks bad.
The k310 is excellent; well in my case i say so.
What I like about the K310
*Screen is large
*Keypad Buttons are big
*Its as changeable covers
*Its not as heavy as the k750
*Speaker is loud
*When the phone is lock and you press a button the * key lights up and when you press it the right soft key lights up.
*USB mass storage
*Web browser is cool and attractive
NB (I can zoom text and images, use on fit to show a web page in 128*160 pixel and I can use full screen)
*Small
*It has 17MB (although I know that’s nothing)
NB (with the 17MB I am able to store at least 15 songs that are compress and sound very good, not as excellent as the original which some times takes up 14mb. The phone some how has 21mb but some way I cant seem to use the other 4mb)
*The UBC/CSTN screen it good and I can see better in direct on it than on my sister’s k750 TFT screen.
What I don't like about the K310
*The Camera sucks big time
*has limited amount of memory
*Joy stick sometimes can’t go left
*The battery dies quickly (well only when i use media player java or web browser or when am on a 5 hour call.
*Has no side keys
*Can’t access the file manager and phone book in standby mode when media player is access
*Can’t zoom on large pictures.
*Can’t skip songs in standby
*No Bluetooth
Advantages over k750
*Browser is updated
*Sony Ericsson Remote Update Service (S.E.R.U.S) Phone can be updated through GPRS
*Can copy and Paste text
*Time line search (I find this feature very useful)
*Save up to 1000 contacts (2500) phone numbers in total
*Style up covers
So please I did not in no way regret that I bought my K310 except for after two weeks later I saw the w300 which burns me a lot.

hey man, I have a T630 wich is way older, but still I like it a lot Only has 2MB of memory, but I got used to it already (bought my phone December las year) I don't work either, bought it with my own money.
It just so happens that my mates have better phones, and once they lent it to me for some time to play, all the hype dies down, so I'm not like desperate nor hating my phone.

k310i is a budget phone mainly targetted at (kids and gannys)
Anyway, I would really recommend footing some extra $$ for a k750i.
Why?
-> Bigger, better Screen (highier res, not as pixeliated, more colours)
-> Bigger memory (+expandable with relatively cheap msduo (as compared to m2)
-> Better Cam
(and a whole lot more)

don't misunderstand. k310 doesn't satisfy my needs. Mp3 and camera are things i look for in a phone.

@dumbrella , I'm 16 too mate, just about to turn 17 well I bought it with saved up money only, didn't have anything to sell, and at that time, K750-like phones were overpriced. If I sell my two phones (T226 and T630) and save up a bit, I might be able to manage a K750, although in fact I'm thinking of getting a job first and then buy one of the latest phones by then (and also keep my two current phones)
