I used to have a R380 some time back. Snassy phone it was, and still is. Writing SMS on it went like a dream. Not only because of the keyboard, but the screen's size gave it all a very good overview. Actually, I quite miss that phone. If it had GPRS I'd most likely have kept it.

Ok, i'm back !

As i mentioned i got to try out the P800 tonite.

It has got T9, it's VERY customizable, creating folders for SMS's is not a problem. The boot time of a minute must have been an old SW version, this one was fast, maybe 6 sec from start to ready.

It was very good at recognizing handwriting, much better than my old Palm Vx

i LOVE the screen !! 208*320 BRIGHT pixels So so so so so so much better than the 7650.

the calender was PDA style, lots of fields for info and stuff.

Alarms like the T68 + recurring alarms.

The camera was instant, no lag like the MCA-20. i'm looking at pics i e-mailed myself earlier as i write this, and the quality is about the same as the MCA-20. good for snapshots, but that's it.

Tha UI was overall fast, no lag when writing SMS.

The only bad thing i have to say was the flip. the keypad is not very good, it's kinda vague and with no tactile respone.

Hmm.... what else... ? battery was a 1000Mah one, and the developer claimed that it was good for 2 days of HEAVY use.

So how nice is the user interface??? I think its did not utilise the good colour on the menu........and the icon aren't very nice..........how's your version??? Have u try out the MP3 and video functions??? How good is the sound quality??? Is it easy to use in one hand??? what menu can access when the flip is closed?? Can u take pics or watch video when the flip is close??? Does it have screensaver function and can we put our own animated gif as screensaver?? Can we create our own theme like T68i?? Sorry for so many questions, but I really wanna know more about this cool P800 ...thanks

Hi!

Does your friend from SE know anything about the memory stick duo and does know when the price of P800 is expected to get lower?

Thanks!
