@masseur i dont think that list is correct,my n93 has a function called device management (like on se,lol) where i create a profile and it updates over the air (yet i dont know the settings) so n93 should be in that list imo

@sleepyhead - I upgraded my N80 at the weekend and after restart all of my data was intact.

ahh but will it rebrand my debranded N70.. that was origianlly on Orange?

Was this using the new Nokia update tool or at a service centre? I don't know for sure but I would imagine a service centre would backup and restore personal data after a firmware update. I guess it is also possible the new Nokia software performs a backup and restore too.

yeh it rebrands any unbranded handsets that have been debranded by someone... it did it with a 6680 i tried it on...

N91 now added, hopefully not too long now for 3rd Edition phones.

Shug the way you flashed is like D'avinci or Wotan ?

Do you need any special cables or just the software?

You just need the software and the usb cable that comes with the phone. It's not totally riskfree (neither is Nokias update service by the sound of it but most people have no problems with it). There are various guides to help e.g. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=913725

you are right Nokia have missed out IMO the best N series or possibly the best nokia out so far although i havent got it, i am planning to get it because of the features, looks etc.
