well you can always get carried away with this, since where does the best phone end? I mean what about an IGSM (Inter Galactic Stellar Modulation) band matter-transporter phone with built in 3-d conferencing, 8 terabytes of onboard storage, pollyphonic suround sound system, space/time warp generator and kitchen sink?

But from a practical point of view, the K800 would be perfect with qvga video recording and wifi.. but phone would be too big if those where added

mine would be a w810i with the functions off the K800i basicly flash and LED 3.2mp cam, MSPD more internal mem, faster CPU, better gaming options say homebrew emulators[java] for older systems

wifi, BT, IrDA,USB/Firewire XP and MAC compatable (love it)

better fast port design say charger one part(and USB) and otherpart handsfree/music lead

Walkman logo and MP with the hiss fixed, better SMS memory without cracking SMS partioion and be FAR compatable

T39 chassis without the aerial & larger colour screen. Twin MS Micro slots. 3.5mm headphone jack.
No camera built in, but…
Phone would use UWB Bluetooth (forget wifi, takes too much power) and would communicate to separate camera; camera would clip onto phone if necessary…
...Silver Xperia Arc, 32GB SD card...

My fantasy phone specs would be like
2.74" 16M screen (TFT,TFD or whatever) 240x432pixels

4Gb NOR flash memory,4Gb NAND flash memory.

8Mp cam with mechanical shutter, AF ,4x optical ,pic/vid stabilizer (Steady Shot®) with all Iso , Dof and stuff.
and more importantly ability to save in RAW and TIFF format.

480p video recording.

wifi/wi-max.

and a strong battery

Gimmie,

*Instead of the nice screen screen i mentioned before i'd like a high-quality OLED screen that can be stretched out to become a 7" + screen for my visual delectation.
*An energy generating fuel cell (some kind of hydrogen powered dealie) that you can plug into the power-grid when at home which the power companies pay you for adding to!

...and... all the other stuff everyone else mentioned.

Wouldn't the perfect SE phone just be all the features of the entire lineup of SE phones, rolled into one compact form factor, similar in size to the K750 or K800?
3 megapixel camera, with auto focus, LED lights and xenon flash, flash themes, wi-fi, smartphone capabilities, radio etc, etc, etc. But that's just impossible for technology at the moment!

Well, as there's no end to the "best" SE phone, i'd settle for something with the design of W850i, a good camera with decent optical zoom similar to that of the K800/K790 =D and cool features such as cartoon, sketch etc also something of 5+ MP would be nice =D, SVGA vid recording =D and a VGA screen 2.4"=D and a good walkman player with megabass. No need for the touch screen and smartphone functions. I guess something like this might be available in 2007. It's not the most down to earth phone, but it's not 'out there' either =D
