Hey Guys ...
sorrie to interlude but the K790i/c and a will be delayed alot. As right now the demand is high for the K800 and so SE is making more and more K800's rather then be busy with the K790 line. So it will be awhile before the K790 gets released.
More like it will be released sometime in August, either mid or end.
However prices of both models will stay the same as they are for different markets and not same markets being only in a few countries. I don't forsee a drop in prices just by the K790 coming out, as demand for it isn't that high compared to the K800.

Sucks for the folks that are waiting for the K790a (if it is in fact only going to be released through major GSM provider) because none of the major carriers have the K790a planned as a future phone. 
They're still on the W810... |

@micks2005 -> do you know if when the K790 is realeased it will be tri-band or quad? I'm hoping that SE smartens up and does indeed release it as a quad-band the way the prototypes have been. |

Well Mate, anything goes with regards to SE. Some are saying it will be tri, some say quad. If your referring to the proto's then it will be tri. As whatever they said with regards to the proto-types has been far fetched some of the things.
For instance in the proto's they put what is now called Track ID in the k800i and then removed it from final specs. They said it would have megabass and in the try the fone feat. on the site it has it but in the final release it was removed, it was supposed to have qvga recording at 30fps but that too was removed for some obscure reason.
So if you referring to the proto's then sorrie man, but it will I guess most likely be a tri-band fone and not quad. Yeah if they stick with the proto-type of the K790 then it would be a quad-band but who knows what stirs in the minds of SE ... only they know what they do...

well after reading some in-depth k800 reviews I've made a decision. If the k790 doesn't fix some build qualities found on k800, I think I'd better skip it. Things like dust getting into the display area and a wobbly lens cover are deal breakers for me.

well if k790 has all the bugs and the build quality problems k800 had..im goin for n73..its 500$ and dats almost the same price k790 is goin to b (im only guessin so go ezy one me)or k790 mite b a 100 bucks less..but if i hear too many complains about k790 then n73 it is. |

damn dude ... edge rules because most operators have edge on theyr coverage areas FOR FREE !!! you have to pay a bundle of money each month for 3g so many people prefer edge any day over 3g ....
and + the phone costs less because of no extra camera

K790's out in india.go to the se india site the 'coming soon' tag has been removed since TODAY.So i think its pretty much round the corner in other countries aswell. |
