wow...i didn't know they still used rubber for phone keys - i could have told them its a bad idea! - use see-through plastic, then paint on the underside, and let the numbers/letters see through best way - well...i think they even use that way on some phones (e.g. my phone the v600i!)
correct me if wrong!

EDIT - also, rubber doesnt look that good - and also feel that good

Hi,
Mate are you from the UK? If so where did you buy your phone from? If your in the UK you have been either sold a test model or an import. The extra symbols on the keypad shouldnt be there for a UK model. I suggest you question the place you bought from. |

Can I ask you what is them white marks you habe on the 1 to 6 keys? It looks like white lines, and on no. 6 like a question mark. I definitely dont have those on my K800 (O2-UK)
Where did you buy it? |

Yep looks like my UK o2 K800i is going to do the same after 3 days of use. It seems to be because the edges do come in contact as they are slightly lifted from the body.

I know that apparently Optus (Australia) have withheld their release of the K800 for reasons of 'unresolved issues making the phone unviable to sell at this time.'
This is not a direct quote but how the info filtered through to me. The phone is said to undergo further testing by Optus and aims to be released on Optus in no sooner than 6 weeks time.
Telstra are supposedly releasing it on the 17th (according to catalogues), but this was before Optus withdrew it, and I'm not sure whether Telstra would follow through.
I'm told that Three either don't test their phones, or don't worry a whole lot when testing their phones, which is why they are the first to stock it. They capitalise on early buyers, and let the warrantees take care of the faults. Cheers!

Problem? You mean the white marks?! That's for the Chinese/Hong Kong release so that Chinese people can type Chinese characters in their SMSs.

Those markings are on the Hong Kong versions, they're used to write chinese characters. |
