Well on my Voda branded K800, the RSS reader app is in Messaging, and also when you browse to a page that has an RSS feed on it, an icon comes up in the corner and it lists the feeds found on the page, you can then add them to your reader...

Works like a charm on the ones I've tried so far, its RSS v2 compliant I believe so everything that sticks to the RSS spec should work, if the XML isn't formatted properly it might not work but thats not the readers fault.

Haven't tried it with an ATOM feed yet so I don't know if they work

While we are talking about RSS. Esato has two feeds. One for your web browser http://www.esato.com/rss and one for your K800 mobile phone http://mobile.esato.com/rss
In the first one, clickable links takes you to this (www.esato.com/board) version of the forum, while the links in the second feed will take you to the mobile (HTML light) version of the forum.

Does anyone know if or how you can rename a feed within the rss reader?

On the K800 I have added a few new feed but it only shows first part of the title and if they are from the the same site then cant quickly choose which feed you want to update.

for example http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/rss/

has loads of feeds available but if you download more than one feed you cant tell which is which on the reader.

I want to rename the feed on my phone so it comes up with:

News
Sport
Weather

etc, something thats easier to read and to the point.

Anyone help or with it being merely a reader you cant edit the information as sent?

I've had a look around the phone menu's and have to say I think it's impossible, you have to live with what ever to RSS feed designer called it. Would be a good little feature though, so hopefully it might get add in a future firmware.

alternatively, email Manchester Evening News webmaster and explain the difficulty and ask them to shorten the name, or put the important part at the front of the name. I expect these SE phones are not the only ones to have this issue.

The M600 RSS reader also does not have a rename capability but it does have the ability to have folders within the RSS section so you could have a news folder, a sports folder etc etc... which I suppose is a bit of a workaround

or alternativly, I could set up my own feeds which scans and copies the html information contained on sites I that I want and rename them as I wish.

man with a plan!

if I manage to perfect it then other uses could use the non area specific feeds such as world news etc...

Further to our email yesterday, we have had a response from our Weather
