Sadly not sure where the Mr Men wallpaper came from, and don't have it on my PC either (should've transferred it) or I would have emailed it to you
Yes, I'll keep my eye out for the D900, though also got my eyes on the K790/800 for when I have a little money or at upgrade time!

I want to mention that car scratch remover wears down the paint/laquer. Many don't fill scratches, they only wear down the area around it do make it seem as it's gone. I know this from experiance when i was removing scratches from an old car and eventually worked my way through the paint and left a huge silvery patch on the inside of the door sill. I would recommend not pushing too hard or putting on a lot of applications as you may end up with a hole in your screen. Be warned, only use the scratch remover if your sure it fills the area!

My Z550i's screen has scratch-like impressions from the area surrounding the key-pad (the keys are at a lower level than the surrounding region)... any suggestions? |

Now that’s elbow grease. You will have the paint layer then a clear lacquer layer over that and as you say you are really cutting the lacquer layer back flat to get rid of scratches.
I would have thought anything with small particles in it would cut the plastic screen back flatter. The smaller the particles the slower it will take, so toothpaste although very mildly abrasive will cut the screen back but I would had thought it would take forever.
Another good way (for car paint so might work for plastic) is you use the finest wet and dry 800/600 grit, this will produce a surface with 100's and very fine scratches which at 1st sight might seem worse but then you cut it back with T-cut et al to get that perfect glass like finish. The point of making the surface with 100's scratches is to get the whole surface to the same height with a uniform finish, which means when you use the cutting compound it will cut really flat. Like I say this is for car paint so anyone with a heavily scratched spare/broken screen who can try this out? Deep scratches however will not come out what ever method you use.

I found a scratch FILLER while I was going through the classified section of Top Gear magazine. Its called Muc-Off Miracle Shine. It's availiable from Halfords. Don't know the price though.

Hey Sammy boy, no need to take the d600 apart to change screen, just warm it up with a hair dryer and then using sharp blade gently lift top edge away from case once edge is clear it comes away easy, clean off old adhesive and fit new one, if you just want to clean dust out you can use double side tape cut into thin strips and refit old screen. |

EVERY BODY GUESS WHAT !!!
I just tried using toothpaste on my old T68i and guess what the screen was still as scratched as ever. It didnt even remove tiny hairline scratches. One good thing tho, it smelt and tasted minty fresh |

Indeed, I could have just removed the D600's old screen and bought a new one from Ebay, though this method I used cost me almost nothing, and I have plenty of that paste left for other phones (Or indeed my car! )
