and also missed that rubber thingy on the top in k750, in d and w it was really great, cos its a kind of "glue" for the finger.

or sE could have made it of a kind of plexi, which could "glow" in the dark, meaning that the plexi could be lighted by the backlight coming from the keypad, so no extra led would be needed.

@boba The K800 isn't metal.
Oh, and I don't think that anyone can say for sure whether or not the K800 joystick is good or not. We'll have to wait a few months after release to get a real answer for that.

So, which one is better the K800's or the K600's - casing

@boba - Yeah I know dude ! It just so happened that I manage to see that reply and made a follow-up . . . I was also thinking how the case on the K8 is made . . .Yup, I liked the covers on the K6 too !

now that this phone has been out for a while, lets revive this topic... is the K800 joystick good at all?

I've been using mine for 2 over weeks now and the dust DOES go down inside the joystick area !! The fact that I'm carrying it in my pocket doesn't help but I still believe a D-Pad ( W810 or K610 ) would have been more appropriate.

well if you say so, i personally think the k750 and the soon to come k800 look marvelous and far from plastic looking (despite obviously being made mainly from plastic lol ). in fact the only sony ericsson phone that i have really dislike because of its cheap and plasticy look was the w800, of course no offence to owners, my opinion.

Its more durable than the K750 |

Just confirming that the joystick on my K800 now has a problem going left. I have to push it a little harder to make it work. All other directions works fine....for now.
