Yeah, I'll go along with that PK, but it just seems like such a long, drawn-out affair.
Can you imagine how quickly these are gonna sell once they eventually do become available? I can already imagine O2 et al saying that they're sold out (again), etc...

I had Orange ring me about the end of my contract and a new phone.
When I told them I'm waiting for the p990 the lady on the phone said it will be available May.
She didn't say when though. |

Hi all just out of interest how stable are you guys expecting this latest version of the operating system to be? or do you think it will be like the launch of P900 series and all the bugs that came with that and the same delay in fixing them. Personally i am waiting for the M600 which will have the same operating system but until Tom Tom is available and people report the software is stable will be patient and wait as my debranded P910i works so well.

1. The Sony Ericsson site say the launch of the P990 is June.
2. UK web sites have the P990 SIM free and on O2 for sale now.
3. Someone here at Esato predicted that O2 would have it first
4. Someone at my-symbian (with connections with SE in Dubai) claimed in mid May the P990 would be available
It seems to me that SE will launch in some countries before others. I think the P900 on Orange was available in the UK first. So it would not surpise me if we in the UK had the P990 just before June, say mid or late May.

Look like Orange have been showing off the Orange P990 at corporate events...which could mean that Orange are not that far behind O2 for UK launch of the P990:

The PR for the P990i has been going on since day one for exhibition purposes and they have also added more apps to sustain the interest in it.
Unfortunately, they have talk the talk but could not walk the walk.
