Would anyone like one in this style? I'm using it to make a theme for K700i, as the colour settings are perfect.

Hi eZe,

Here's another version.
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/6464/w800ibono0ao.gif

Not yet perfect, as I still haven't figured out all of Gimp's coloursetting options. it's simple to get a black animation by colourinverting all frames, but it's harder to get the background back in the right colour. Probably I just haven't found the best procedure yet. But what the hell, the original isn't perfect either!
I'll keep you up to date if I make any improvements.
Maybe you can advise me about animation timing. I mean, how many seconds do the standbyscreen and screensaver show on your phone? I just don't like animations to be cut off somewhere halfway. I could figure it out for my K700i, but this phone can't handle fullscreen animations very well.

Better luck logging in next time, eZe (sorry can't get the ^'s on the e's and the Z) is easier to remember.

im guessing i should just continue using this account because the characters i used in the last one keep changing to weird symbols..

yes anyways about the standby.. yes, the black on the orange is looking excelling and the color in the background is a bit off but u are right.. SE was never perfect with their standby either! haha

i use gimp myself.. but i dont know how to create animations.. gifs

Hi RX7CER,

Here's two faster versions, the first about twice as fast, the second somewhere in the middle:

About the GiMP, here's some nice tutorials, plugins and other stuff.

Have you installed GAP with Gimp? It provides a lot of animation plugins.

yeah, you're right. This keeps puzzling me. First I thought my computer was too slow. But when I play the same animation in GiMP it does have the right speed!? Maybe it has to do with browser settings.
I also noticed that large animations (many pixels changing per frame) show less fluent on my phone than small animations with the same number of frames/second. So the memory used per frame can slow down animation speed/fluency.
Probably we're just experiencing the limits of our phones' cpu's.
Anyhow, here's a really fast version, if this doesn't work, I'm gonna try to simplify the animation.
