Just called orange to ask how much my pac code would be (3 months left on my contract), they immediately offered a W810i free upgrade, 500mins/500texts/15mms per month for £25 and free insurance for 12 months, I had to take that. Won't reduce my bills much as most of my calls are roaming (£173 bill last month). Seems that the W810i will be cheap!

I must admit I was lucky to phone at the right time. The last upgrade, I had to wait weeks because they were waiting for more to come it. As soon as they did, they were gone again!

Does the Orange W810i have the horrible home scren on it, as the K750i's did not, but the picture on their web site shows it with the home screen, yet I was told a couple of weeks ago, that Orange were going to be shipping generic hand sets as from 1st of April, and that was by a very helpfull guy at Orange premier.

The orange ones have the horrible bar i think - plus the orange logo on the bottom (this cant be removed like the k750i one could)

Anyone know if o2 have the phone in stock yet?

Im on a 12 month contract £19 a munth, 50 mins 200 txts...

I now see that the w810i has been released, is there anyway i can get this phone, off O2 without having to wait 12 munths, or till the end of my contract?

If you are within your 14 days, then yes, if not then you will either have to take out a new contract, or pay off the one you already have.

It's worth giving them a ring and asking about it. You never know. You don't ask, you don't get!
