My friends mother just got her T237 in water (by accident) she didn't know anything about having to take it apart and dry, so she turned it on and it didn't work. so my friend brought it to me, the I dissarmed it,took the keyboard out and saw that in the conector pins there was something liquid, like green mosture, so I rubbed that out with toilet paper and then rubbed other things that looked wet. after that the phone turned on normally.

Keep your fingers cross while waiting the phone to dry.... If it indeed can turn on, I think the best thing you can do is to sell it (on ebay, maybe).

It may work but something has to go wrong in it, either the battery will drain very quickly, or some keys just don't respond as expected or it won't charge... (this is my past experience, I had my camera, err,... phone and watch in water or saliva (I have a 1 year old baby) and all worked after a careful drying, but they didn't work perfectly afterwards).

People do buy broken/semi-broken/semi-working phones for parts/repair. So, your phone still has a price when it's still hot in the market. And use the money to buy a new one .

It was switched on when it went it... and is showing no signs of life at the moment - still plenty of moisture visible in the screen, though, so obviously not dry yet.

Can the W800 be disassembled easily?

Fairly easily, I think there's a guide to taking the K750i/W800i apart (both similar phones so similar in dissasembly) either here or over on www.se-nse.net .

i am afraid to say, by putting it in the washing machine it is now DEAD!

My mother done this also and it near ever recovered. The washing powder has just destroyed all working parts.

Dropping a phone into plain water is a different story altogether. You maybe be able to save it as i have saved several people phones after they have been in the toilet or a glass of water.
