i'm pretty sure the k750 uses pretty much the same filesystem

Maybe you could write an indepth guide or point to some resouce on the net for me?

its the first time i've heard of this solution to pull out things from phone memory- where did you find it out?

you send the INSTALL file via bluetooth or whatever...
the file that you installed the game with, if you got it off your computer, did you? cos if its from wap you can't as they wouldn't allow that.
you send it to another mobile, it will go to where they want it or to others etc, they then click on that and click on install. and it then will appear in games or applications folder after install (if a succesful install of course, some game files i've found can sometimes be corrupt and wont install).

@chrisdaniels:

All possible causes for not working with your K750:

1. This 'vlnk' thing won't work on any K750, or
2. The file path you included in the .vlnk is invalid, or
3. You didn't build the vlnk file correctly. The detailed step:
>>3.1. open UltraEdit (download a trial if you don't have one)
>>3.2. write in the path to the file on the phone you wish to extract, e.g. /tpa/preset/system/oaf/superrealtennis.jar (on K700)
>>3.3. save NOW the newly created file with double file extension, e.g. 1.jar.vlnk, in "UTF-16 - NO BOM" format (say 1.jar.vlnk)
>>3.4. press Ctrl+H to enter hex edit mode
>>3.5. append "00 00" (hex) to the end of the file
>>3.6. save again and exit UltraEdit

Your final 1.jar.vlnk should look like (for superrealtennis.jar on K700):
(The appended "00 00" is highlighted in blue by me.)

4. Or you didn't transfer files correctly:
>>4.1. send the file to the "Others" folder on your phone directly
>>4.2. use the phone's 'Send' function to send the 'same' file out to PC and you should get the 1.jar which is a copy of superrealtennis.jar.

I'm afraid this is all I can help. If it still won't work, consider giving up instead of potentially wasting your time.

Any K700 user might wish to give a go at extracting a file in the way described in one of my previous replies.

yep, did exactly as descibed above. still not working.

The difference with K750 over usb is: save the file in others on Memory card, disconnect the cable, switch file to phone memory & send.
Still only copies out the vlnk.

i've tried it with other .jars that i have put on there (so i know the file name), still doesnt work..

Think its time to give up..

@xugaa: you cant send the install file. If you could i wouldnt need to do this. Once a .jar is installed in the phone, there is no send option from games/apps.
