How dangerous are these files? Can they damage your phone beyond repair?
I received about 4 last night and I remember reading they didn't damage SE phones like the K750i - which I was using. I might have a Symbian phone by the weekend though.

The only phones these virie (multiple of Virus) can infect are Nokia S60 Phones like the N70, 6680 etc... and only if u accept it an install it!
There are currently NO VIRUS THAT WILL INFECT AN SE PHONE!

just a few bits of 'info' bluetooth technology and pairing methods are in thier basic form unsafe there are many well used and documented ways to 'crack' all safety and security measures in any bluetooth device. in some devices there are known flaws in the implementation of the BT standard that allows security measures to be cicumvented, a 'virus/hack' is by definition a known way of of running the system to the undesired effect of the user... soooo there are plenty of prog's from sis to java to basic that can allow your device to be used by third parties without your permission if the permission is obtained from security certificates or system verified...
personally i leave my bluetooth switched off!!!!!!!! |
