not shure if it's correct but i understand the following of bluetooth;
bluetooth uses certain profiles to make use of a bluetooth option.
like filetransfer is odex-profile, same goes for a2dp. but a profile is some hardware related thing. so it can't be added later. unless they have the profile but not activated it with software, so it can be made avaiable through software update.

I am not sure about that myself. I think wireless headphone will become more and more common from now on.
The only thing that frustrates me is the inability to stream radio to your wireless headset as well as music.
Maybe someone can test this for me - but if you plug in your wired headset for the radio reception, can you still stream the fm radio to your wireless headset? Sorry for dragging this slightly off topic.

I tried that but unfortunately it doesn't work. when the wired headset is connected you cannot transfer sound to a BT headset

Pity!
The words 'built-in FM antenna' spring to mind.

Isn't there this one JAVA app which lets you have a limited form of A2DP on older phones (like the k750i)?
I believe it was released by a manufacturer of BT sterio headphones and the java app supports headphones by that company alone. |

There is an application called MSI BluePlayer. I haven't tested it yet if it works with other manufacturer headsets, but it works with MSI bluetooth headset for sure. You can download it from the main MSI website.
