i think that there has been a flaw from the start.

i have a freind in my local vodafone store =]

he told me it was due out december but didnt make it due to software flaws.

i think they nevr quite sorted it.

ive heard that people have been unable to add more thatn 10 contacts without a few error messages.

the best thing nokia can do is install S60 software ont he phone =] (wishful thinking)

this would be nice

oh and add a S60 key on to the side

S60 would make the bugs easyier to fix.

and allow for future software upgrades to be made without recalling them all.

oh and they need to sort the screen. i am very anoyed at the dust issue

well, the symbian version of 6280 will be the n80, might be that nokia will relesae a non-symbian umts fone later, but there are already ones in the e series and in the new n series aswell.

the only bad thing about the two phones you mentioned is the size of them,

there is a limit to what you can carry without having wandering eyes and hands in your pockets

dont forget, thses are the first steps in a new world of mobile technology. according the big display ( for accepteable usage like watching tv, browsing the web etc ) such fones cannot be made smaller under a certain size.

Hey mate I thought i was the only one with this problem and at first i thought my eyesight was going.

I saw the same thing now i literally have hundreds of these dust specks......bloody annoying to say the least. I have a Nokia 6230i, only 6 months old.

Hoping Nokia will fix but not holding my breath.

i have the 6280 and am not happy atall.

within 12 hours i noticed one small dust spec and thot it was a dead pixel.
it wouldnt go away no matter how hard i tried.
it has now been 6 days and the phone has more dust unders it screen than undre my bed.thers absolutely no way to remove it.

I have the vodafone branded model (big mistake) it has all the usuall vodafone crap, and none of the unique features of the phone. it has no PTT or IM service as shown in nokia pictures. I am sure there is much more i i could be bothered gettin anooyed and parinoid over it.

I am returning it in 2 days time thanks to a very helpfull vodafone in store manager. i am hoping to change the phone completly, if not hopefully vodafone three and nokia will all wise up to see this is yet another pathetic attemet at a slider phone from Nokia.

Anyone know about the nokia n80 and n70 phones. Are they any good and are they beter than the 6280? i no that the n80 would mean waiting till april/may but then even after that i would probally get the same low quality sliding mechanism and poorly made screen. appart from that the camera is ace and the UI is the normal nokia thing.

It would be ace if it had S60 OS maby it will after the recall? (pretty sure there wil be one) Fingers crossed!!!

If your thinking about buying this phone hopefully i will have persauded you the oppisite during your time of insanity. lol.

Overall Nokia and Vodafone have cocked up big time.

Does the Three Version have half the features removed also?

Oh and by the way does anyone else have the annoying problem of whilst calling, using the mps, making a video call, using camera, using the voice recorder, using the callender and sending texts (well to be honest the whole phone) does yours black out and go into standy by or off? and my simcard always fails registration or it wont pick up reception or select network. not the sims fault as i tested it in my reliable gx30i!

Nokia I have one thing to say about this phone : Good Day to you sir!
