why would there be 2 different software for T68i and upgraded T68m??? I thought once t68m upgrade to MMS software, both phones's software should be the same, isn't it??

I just got the R5C001 release flashed in my T68i and I observed the "start-up problem" twice. (But not always). So I don't think it's fixed in this softwarerelease. Maybe it's hardware related...but why does it work perfectly with SW-release R2E? Strange.

can be that the upgrades you have done after R2E has resulted in that the firmware was put in parts of the memory which contained errors... |

@ Whoever has R5C
Can you please let us know about the SMS alert tone. Thats all what I am looking for. Otherwise I will stick to my R2E006 firmware. |

Thanks for that.
Too bad. Well I think I will stick to R2E006 for the time being then. |

My T68i doesn't startup properly since software release R5A. When I push the "No-button" the keyboard and LCD backlight goes on, but nothing will appear on the LCD display. After 3 / 4 seconds the light goes out. I have to repeat this 4 or 5 times, before the phone askes for the PIN-code. Everything worked fine with R2E. Maybe a part of the memory is corrupt or something like that.

BUT THERE HAS BEEN A MAJOR UPGRADE OF THE OVERALL SPEED! THE MENUS ARE MUCH FASTER! BUT THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART IS: THERE IS NO DELAY WHATSOEVER WHEN WRITING SMS'S, EMAILS OR ANYTHING ELSE. AS YOU TYPE IN THE WORD THEY SHOW INSTANTLY!
Ahh... A much, much needed fix. I personally don't think much about the sms tone. The lacking speed was by far more annoying!

Also: When you have finished typing in a word, instead of using the 0-button to cycle through different word suggestions, a pop-up box appears with all suggestion. Much easier and very user-friendly.
What are you waiting for? Get that upgrade today! I promise you. You won't regret it!

Just got it today at Smartnet Philippines. My hbh 30 is still unable to record voice commands. It sometimes causes the phone to freeze. I didn't notice anything different from r5a except that there's a bluetooth profile now in profile accessories.

@MFB
I can't find the Bluetooth profile in my R5C001 version. Maybe it's only available in Asia or something?
