Frankly i don't getting any other phone's gonna make any difference. Might as well just stick with your W800. Put it in a ziplock bag or something. =)

Every time I get drunk (thank God not often!) i drop my P 910i... I always thought I don't need a back up phone for these nites out but now I think i'll keep this option in mind. Just change the cover or better, the whole casing and u'll luv it again!

dude, ignore all the comments about ur drinking and phone abuse, ur case isn't the worst yet. I know of a guy on this forum who got smashed and used his P910i for target practice. he eventually hit bullseye on his touch screen with a dart

This is a funny commnet.
Ya I think this guy's problem is that this w800 phone is too good for him.
I also have a problem with my phone too. I looks too good. I alway keep it in its case. I don't need a single scratch on my babe. |

The other option is to buy a second phone for when you're out drinking, something cheap but durable like a Nokia 5210, 5100, or the afore mentioned 5140i. Either that or one of those durable Ericssons -the R310s I think it is. They can stand a hell of a lot of punishment!
With regards to the sand problem, this is why I never use any cases on my phones. Bits of dust and debris from everyday usage and putting in pockets etc. collect between the casing and the phone, and friction rubs these bits and puts fine scratches all over the phone.
I'd recommend getting a new (genuine) facia for the phone and fitting it, then buy a cheap, durable phone for when you're out drinking and keep the W800i for other times. Or, simply be a lot more careful when out, and keep your phone away from drunken mates!

I think so too. That constitutes clearly as phone abuse. That phone has done nothing wrong to you.
