about 380kbps video bitrate is the best without skipping any frames, but if your clip is longer than 15 minutes, you need to drop to around 250kbit. There's some kind of buffer problem, after 15 minutes 380kbit will begin to stutter a frame each second.

The guide i was posting is slightly delayed. although nero recode / mpegable x4 give very good results, i found an mp4 muxing program that gives exceptionally smooth playback on the w900i, incredibly good really. But it has some audio sync problems that i'm still trying to fix. Once i find the problem i'll write up the howto, you'll be impressed with it.

i'd be really interested to hear how you get on playing a full movie on your w900i. I'm having some real problems with mine, see this thread -

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=807199

Edit:

Are you using the walkman player, or the file manager one? Also are you playing the videos from an MS Duo card or from the phones memory? I'd really appreciate some help figuring out why i get gradually stuttering video playback on mine, thanks.

I get this problem when playing < 20sec mp4 clips in both file manager and walkman mode using the phone's memory. The w900i would not even play the new 'Superman Returns' mp4 trailer without skipping/pausing etc from

Lebanese, Did the Superman mp4 trailer play ok on your phone? If so then it sounds like my phone is faulty or I need to update the firmware. Does anyone know how to check the firmware on the w900i. Mine is a white UK Vodafone branded w900i
