My Mum uses a 1100 same with my Dad
She used to use an Alcatel something, my Dad used to use a Siemens S45.
I was thinking of getting them both J300i's for Christmas each.

What are your impressions of the K750i? (going slightly off topic )

I have only had it for about a week and so far have been quite happy with it.
I had a Z600 before and briefly had a W550 so I was already familiar with sony ericsson phones. (I went through 3 W550 handsets due to software problems so they cancelled my contract and i ended up with the K750).
The ring volume is louder than the z600 but not as loud as the w550, but I can still hear it in my bag even in a noisy shopping centre. The camera seems pretty good for a phone and MP3 playback is not bad especially when using the same headphone set that you get with the W800. I don't have bluetooth on my computer at the moment, but I have paired my phone with my brother's to transfer files without any problems, and I haven't had any problems in transferring files across the usb cable to the memory stick.
As the phone seems pretty stable at the moment I won't be upgrading the firmware for a while.

Sorry that it took so long..
Here`s what happened: K750i was fully charged in the morning and i took it to work with me cause mom asked me to show her how K750i works. I inserted my sim-card and went to work. I worked on my "K750i" project more or less. When i got home i wanted to show my mom all the functions and stuff and she loved it. She had some trouble navigating the menues. Then i was saying good bye to my 1 day best friend. I turned it off and asked my mother to give me her sim-card and THE FREAKING BATTERY COVER WANT REMOVE. I didn`t now how to feel. Should i be happy or sad? I remember reading the ("k750 removing battery panel","K750: Can't remove battery cover") topic`s in summer i think but i didn`t even think about how that must feel. I tried and mom tried but i do not think that it is possible to open it without damaging it. Then we talked about it she was kind of sad, paying so much and cant remove the cover, she even said i have something to do with it so i showed her the topics(above) and she believed me. Then she said: "why dont you go tell goldenface that i did break my fingers trying to remove the battery cover" and laughed for about 2,3 minutes realy laughing.. When i started to write this post she came here and said to me that if you realy want something you will get it somehow. Your wish to have a K750i was so strong that God gave it to you. I dont know if she realy meant that.. But,..
I AM A NEW OWNER OF A K750i !!!!!!!!
I will just buy my mom a new simple phone first thing in the morning and i hope with no problems this time.
Thank you all for replying to my post especialy goldenface, my mother mentioned your post at work the other day, and said they all laughed like crazy.
Greetings, David.

Ha ha ha ha. That's so funny. :-D Glad I can be of assistance Intelegent. That stiff battery cover saved those precious fingers of hers from another type of Battery altogether! he he he. Aww! She will get her reward in heaven. Happy Christmas Mate!

intelegent115,
what are you planning to do with your good old T68i? My T68i is now 3 years and 7 months old and works very well! Battery is still like a new, so strong and powerful.

that's a bummer, man. anyway, maybe you should just be happy for your mum; congratulate her for choosing the k750i!
then get one, too, or get a w900i |
