I actually really agree that bobafett would be the best current member that is active on this forum to become a moderator, boba would have to step out of the /// world and enter the 'dark side' as i'm sure boba will call it"

continuing on about what i said about us all working together to make this site better. we can get members to help with unlocking, debranding, repairs, any graphics design (if any) needs doing and other things. i dont believe it should be all about the posting on forums but about other things

I think the only things members should help with. Is writing tutorials and reviews and guides on how to do things...Now way can the graphics change, if they did i'd be going because then esato would become like every other forum in the world, packed with images as links, esato is different and i like it Let Laffen sort the rest of the site out.

What holds the future for esato?

Perhaps Phone repair, a server for unlocking, a partnership with SE ?

I'm sure we slipped to the 600th odd rank due to the fact that govi and me stoppped posting like maniacs over tha last five odd months!

Anyways, having been a member of this site since last year and a half, i have noticed quite a few gradual changes: Most of the "oldies" who i knew are not found here as much as they used to be here... eg, vlam and scots..and of late, Ayush...and now my dear friend govi..
Boba is still going strong!
Axxxr deserves a pat on the back for his excellent news grabbing skills, if theres's someone who's as commited to Esato as him it might only be masseur.

That definitely doesn't take anything away from the splendid jobs the other mods do!
Its only that they ain't as visible as masseur...

Some of the newer folks here have also been doin an excellent job in creating a good community.

I do agree with some folks here that Esato could be made much more interactive than it currently is...some new functions added would only make this place better!

When new phones are released, that is when we have to grab those buyers...Give them info, make them laugh, find out lots, maybe they'll be addicted, as we all got into esato somehow...we have to be on our most entertaining behievour on the release of w900i, or mainly when it is advertised and starts to make sales...

Hmmm... Unlocking septic sounds like a good idea, but partnership with SE, no way. That would take away our rights to give them a hard time if we show serious dislikes on a model of theirs.

No, not a partnership, like should at least give esato some promo stuff to give away/sell for some money for site things for being such a big supporter of don't you think?

I have long since longed for to let me have preview models in the same way that mobile-review (a non specific phone site) and others get early news and preview models to review so that the review can be posted on announcement day.

I have tried, with several models, contacting UK only to be palmed off to half a dozen departments none of which actually seem to know, or want to admit to know, anything about the model I am inquiring about and suggesting I contact another depart who never call me back.

while I agree with tranquils point, there is certainly no harm in liasing with Esato in a relationship in which we can objectively discuss their products, as we are already doing, but in such a way that maybe our comments are taken more seriously and returned to them via some official channel.

I look at Top Gear (an English motor vehicle review TV program) each week, for example, and they get cars from all manufacturers willingly and they objectively and honestly give their remarks on camera, sometimes taking the total p**s, but still those same companies provide future cars for review knowing that at least an honest opinion is being given.

, for too long, do seem to have chosen whom they provide samples to on the basis of who gives good reviews, or who simply repeat press release content, and I think its time for us here at Esato to be more involved. after all we are one of the most dedicated forums to their products and the heaviest users.

to get back on topic, I'm not sure if any of that will improve Esato's position in that forum league but I'm sure it will both add to the seriousness with which comments on Esato are taken and also create a serious 2 way flow of information/problems/solutions between us and

To be honest I'm getting bored of esato, I'm one of the few "oldies" around here and I'm visiting esato once a week when I'm bored where before it was once per hour ... . Something need's to be changed, only the forum is a good source of info (when you find it) while the other sections are allmost obsolete (right word ?).

There used to be themers around here and reviewers which added some content to esato but they are all gone .... (only masseur is doing some complete reviews). Only thing left is the news section brought to you by one man ... I have nothing against axxxr, he does an excellent job but when he is away, nothing move's around here ... The fact that we never see the admin (laffen) around here is also a big issue.

There are way to many "only" for such a site.

I have been knocking no doors and made numerous calls to SE over the years too with the same result when it comes to borrowing phones prior to launch.
But, when I have called, like for Playtime, they have been helpfull enough.
There has been times when I called them to warn them, like a while ago when someone had hacked an app on the S700, and they have been praising Esato up in the sky, promising to provide help back, but never do.

me gots an idea, i will make a "flyer" "banner" "brochure thing-a-ma-bob" today and we can post them around...

stick em on our sites, also if some of you have time and printers maybe just some things to leave at cellphone shops and other places where we can promote Esato.com.

Tell me what you think, i can start "production" today and have a few samples tomorrow...

Promoting esato for what ? I'm not a negative guy but it can't really see what you can add on a flyer.

Many of us has warned before and made numerous thread's about it and nothing changed, now we are all leaving because of lack of that. I was allways true to esato as it was my very first home on the internet and it helped me alot ... well it used to be.

It is not normal that regular members are leaving, it just shows a problem ...
