| What percentage of today's Mobile phones are Smatphones???
Only a manufacturer like nokia produces smartphones massively and 95% of people using them even don'y know what a smartphone is? |

Though i agree with you on the fact that 95% of the people who use a smartphone don't even know its a smartphone, how would that argument hold against games?
Since most people don't know what a smartphone is, would they care what kind of games they play? they won't even know what the difference between a .sis and a .jar/jad file is..so the fact is most people would accept phones which can play "better" games and currently, (after being an ngage user) i can say symbian games do have a definite edge over java games.

Other thing i want to say is that java is becoming competetive by each new generation by the addition of new API's. Compare T610 java vs K750 java.Next generation will have even better implementation i suppose.
A quick google could find some games like below, all of are legal links though

@ shyam335
thanx 4 ur links but i just need free BT java games
@ whizkidd
Symbian OS has it's own capabilities but in order to get these capabilities u should pay the price:
much less stable OS,less user friendly interface,VIRUSES,and ....
what's the use of having 100s of third party media player program installed on ur phone ;or just 100s of alarm clocks,100s of keypad locking,100s of unit convertor???
In java mobile phones u have most(if not all) of these features pre-installed by the manufacturer which are stable and always functional AND for that minority of feature they may lack, there it comes java.
despite it's limitations ,it is much safer AND u can still write java progs on your own.
Just look at Motorola's products,or SE's or Samsung's or LG's; How many percentage of these manufacturers are smartphones?
among the top cellphone manufacturers only Nokia insists on producing smartphones masively and mainly with lots of OS problems.Only 6600 was just a great success and the rest....???
anyway at last it's you who will choose ur cell phone,BUT for me Non-Smart ones are much better(specially from SE AND specially k750i!!)
p.s.:U yourself r using W800 i suppose!!! |
