Because the 10 second press is the same as pressing the power button on your computer for a couple of secs when it hangs.
It's supposed to be that way!

i use auto-lock w/ my r520m... now that i don't have my t18z, i gotta lock the keypad, if it's not locked, i'll still press something, even when it's in the oem leather case!

Auto-keylock and "No" buttons for 10s are both uniquely SE. Nokia will have to copy it one day just the same as Bluetooth.
