I went a step further and tried to download an attachment from Gmail but it gave me a message saying "Downloads not supported".
Have to say that this version of Opera Mini is much better than the warez one I've been using all these months.

I have been able to use (as much as Opera allows) and check mails at www.gmail.com with previous version too

well, this official version works in so far as I can get it started, which I couldn't do previously. But attempting to go to any page gives me an error saying
"A communication error occurred (10). Your browsing experience might be limited"
strangely I get that same text on my K750 and my k-jam in which I have two different vodafone sims.
anyone else had success with vodafone uk?

@masseur
I get the same error, however I'm with O2.
When installing this app it said it was version 1.1 and it replaced version 1.0 that I had.
Version 1.0 worked perfectly for me, this was the warez one doing the rounds a few months ago.
Anyone know what this means ?

Thanks @arez for the good link (opera.mini.com/my).
Although that page seems the same as the ones that didn't work, with this one the error didn't occur.
Unfortunately, the bookmarks of the older opera mini were lost, but the history section is still there. Weird.
Hotmail works though (Yay!) and signs out properly as well (didn't do this well in the old version).

@del, I just tried it on my V3 with my german O2 sim card (though I'm currently in UK) and it worked fine so maybe I'll play with some settings in the K750 and see what I can do

@Eastcoast.... there is a full fledged version for smartphones and a scaled down version for non-smartphones. The non-smartphone version works pretty much like Webviewer....but is way faster and better. It used to be available only in some regios through operators....but there is a free legit version available on the Opera website.
