While reseaching an article on cars with in-built BT carkits, I found that BT carkits are available on selected Acura models with the HandsFreeLink stereo, BMW 5, 6, X series, Chrysler Grand Cherokee 4WD (called UConnect), every 2005 Jaguar, Toyota Prius and some Lexus models.

BMW NZ are aware that several late model phones don't work with thier BT system and therefore stock some older compatible models such as Z600.

My K700 would pair, then disconnect because a call wasn't active causing the BMW 5 Series to re-establish a connection which the K7 would then disconnect a few seconds later. The constant ding ding ding got on my nerves and effectively locked up the phone making it unresponsive to the keys.

Z600 behaved perfectly and transfered phonebook with no problems.

BTW, I spoke with a person from Honda NZ who said that they have no plans to include the Acura HandsFreeLink system in the Honda specification.

Those Clarion Stereos are odinary headunits with a bluetooth adapter.
It's a makeshift system, you're better off with a HCB-700, believe me.

Update on the Qtek 9100.

Although I hear people fine in my car people are complaining about how they hear me, it is distorting and it seems like I am far away. It has the same sound quality as my P910i had in the 50% of times it worked. I am trying to find out if there is any update that addresses this problem, if not I will try a I-mate K-Jam, same phone but with more updates.
