yes. there is a hardscreen smartphone rumoured, and I expect a proliferation of phones aimed at specific market segments. Many of these phones will be dumbed down (ie: have limited features that appeal only to the specific market they are targeted at, whereas up to now SE have had a small number of highly specified phones).
That's my guess. You can already see it with all the K series - some with BT some without etc. |

it doesnt matter really unless you want the 3g on your phone if you tried to keep up with the market not only would you go mad you will be broke as well |

Dr_Thug raises a good point. Greater sales could very well mean greater market share, and that, imho, is exactly what the Nokia-dominated market needs.
Although a Nokia user i must confess to not being an admirer of the rapidity with which Nokia releases new handsets, especially when those handsets don't really offer anything new.
