HDTV will be possible on your small screen but all these will only be possible if standards are uniformed...hopefully the Yanks would've learnt that Europe knows best when it comes mobile technologies.

HD wouldnt be worth it unless LCD screens resolution can be greatly increased...even 480dpi HD looks crap...you need high resolutions

@trogdor: Don't worry somewhere some little nerd is working in a lab to bring about HDTV on your screen...Five years ago I would never have thought what is now possible on today's handsets...remember the Nokia 2110i?

@brix
i see where your coming from but i still reckon it'd be pointless have H.264 on a handset screen smaller than your palm...the whole point of HD is to make our screens bigger without loss of quality...but then again there isnt a single movie studio now that doesnt have a HD camera so i guess that the way things are going for our small entertainment devices.

in 5 years we'll have expandable screens on mobiles, thats the main difference I see, oh and EVERYTHING can communicate nicely.
Like, use your ipod via bluetooth on your phone with a nice interface and so on.
Kind of like Bluetooth Plug and Play.
