@Leviath I was saying I am into Stock trading and I closely keep an eye on cell companies.(look thru my old post on this forum ) SE posted in the first and second quarter this year the biggest profit drop a cell company has ever registered in history.Their market share has dropped from a all time high (third quarter last year) Just read thru some of my earlier posts or do a google search.The profit for the third quarter isn't that promising neither,but at least they've managed to stop the free fall ! The K750i was rushed to the market without proper testing and this is the outcome.Greetings from South Africa.Mario :-)

what outcome??? do you see people in mass returning their k750īs???

for instance, do you know how much people are complaing about crap 6630 units in forums all over the place??? please notice that, and compare with the minority that complain about faulty k750īs

but no, you beeing a BIGGGG anti-se fanboy only have eyes for one thing

but of course people that got the faulty ones shound be quickly repaid or have their phone replaced

@mario2002

I did research that Fact as been quoted from The Register website...

www.theregister.co.uk

I still love the K750i regardless of it's faults... However I beliveve SE are handling the whole shenanigan very poorly indeed...

@Arez

Who were you making that comment to... Not clear of who your directing it to....

If in any way that was me than let me assure you that is not what this is all about...

The intention is so I get a broader idea of how this situation as affected users and theire experiences of SE support and Products....

I only had one Nokia one Siemens one Samsung and several Sony Ericssons.... I had 14 t68i (all faulty and I believe that was carphone sh1thouse fault) I had T610/T630 both returned faulty and finally 3 k750i not counting my wifes....

The Nokia and the Siemens met my hammer for a night out theSamsung I gave it away to my mum...

Overall I am the unluckiest person in the planet for mobiles....

Not ANTI anything because if I were I wouldnt have bought any SE...

If you werent commenting about me then I can safely say now you all know why I want more feedback from others... [addsig]

Update...

SE have resolved update service but the hansets are still buggy...

Far from the proper quality service and product we deserve SE is using us as paying test subjects....

Heck they should pay us.... [addsig]

its quite refreshing to see a topic like this. i get so bored with all the crap people normally write about ho great se how there phones are built like tanks how they use the most expensive materials in the world to build their phones. you know the usually apologise lies that the same people spout every time someone dares to say that there phone creaks or battery life is poor etc
they come out of the wookwork and cry like kids about how se are so great and its all there fault there phone wont turn on.
well heres some news se are no more or less reliable than any other maker of phones there phones are also as well built as most others and the materials used are the same quality. i know this may come as a shock to some people but its true.
i own the k750 nice phone great features had no problems cant complain, had nokia and samsung phone been great no problems.
strange and when you look round other forums similar patterns of complains and praise for other makes and se.
it the original poster i say well done for starting the topic and bringing some balance were it was long over due

@Arez:
Your post is fairly pointless. Probably so was the other one.

Absolute figures do not mean anything. You should bring up relative figures (read percentage).

There are many more 6630 than K750 out there!! So even if the percentage of 6630 owners complaining is/would be lower than the percentage of K750 owners complaining, there is still fairly high chances there would be a higher amount of complaints of 6630 owners....

I think they should concentrate some effort on only releasing firmware updates that actually fix (not create more) bugs .. I love my w800i .. the design and the features are great .. I feel it's the best handset I've owned .. just wish the firmware was stable and reliable .. although I took it upon myself to update from the original fw I don't expect a company to offer something that actually corrupts their own product .. I'm reading that ppl have updated from R1N053 and none of the problems have been fixed .. bad look for SE but I'm still content with the phone even though I'll be waiting on the next fw update to be hopefully TOTALLY satisfied with my purchase.

I've owned one of the old Ericsson flips and the T68i in and amongst various Nokia/Samsung/LG/Motorola handsets. E/SE have been the phones I've had the least problems with and been the happiest with so when my upgrade option comes around I'm pretty sure I will be looking at the Sony-Ericsson range for my next phone.

well one thing i noticed about the battery of K750i, it's seems stronger than the previous ones. I had mine for 24 hours now and i still have 78% left (with just a bar empty).

I had around 60 min call
2 hours of listening to MP3
Around an hour of playing games

I just wish it's that easy to change housing...
I just wish volume is a little higher when using speaker...

I guess that's my only rant as of the moment

have used all other makes

sony batteries last longer than any other mobile brands

sony let you update the software yourself for constant improvments

music and radio is better quality plus headphones are better

best cameras quality is better than any other mobile brand

sony e have really got their act together i wouldnt buy another make at the moment they give me the best in all the areas that i want

well done sony would recommend to any one want a new phone to get a sony ericsson

SE handsets are in a diferent class at the moment

I do agree SE are in a different class, ive got t68m, t610 and p910 and had very few probs. But my w800i died after a month still waiting over 3 weeks later for it to be returned

battery life is amazing on SE phones, mates/family who dont have SE are always charging
