In my latest tests, with OBEX packet sizes, and Baud rates.
I discover that the best settings are.
OBEX packet size 4096
Baud rate 480.600
At that setting both types of communication (DSS-20 sync base & Direct USB cable, gets the best speeds.
In detail:
The DSS-20 got 20-25KB/s
The USB cable got 40-51KB/sec (53.7KB/s as Peak)
The other baud rates above 115.000 until 980.400, was usable but with not any better results than the Baud rate 480.600
At 480.600 with OBEX packet size 4096, the phone works at the max speed that the hardware of it supports .
Not to say that this results is amazing, mostly because I found the total speed that i can get with the DSS-20 base , that I use most .
For file sync & charging.

3G Call with SE V600i. Greece
I was made a short journey this Sunday 9th of October, I visited an exposition about computers, hardware & software (Infosystem Hi-Tech HELEXPO) in Thessalonica Greece , (The largest in size city after the capital) , 3G coverage, is ideal at that city.
So at the time that we arrived inside the city, after 180Km journey , I received my first 3G call in the car (luckily I was passenger and not the driver!!), from a close friend of my, from my home town , who wanted to surprise my , and test the 3G capabilities of the V600i in action .
I will report what I felt , and the technical (practical part) .
I received the call with out to have in mind that it was a 3G video call , as long I looked that the caller was known I just set the phone at my ear .
Then , I understand that something was wrong as I noticed , that both speakers was working , uncommon for a GSM call !
The caller has a Nokia 6630 , And because that phone has a camera only at the back of it , the caller was looking at the back of his phone ,so he was unable to understand in sort time , that he was doing a video call by looking my ear , instead of looking my face .
In the car we was still moving around , trying to find a parking spot , and the environment was noisy, the car stereo was on (at low volume ), the traffic around as( eight lines central avenue ), caused also noise , and finally the 3G call started to look as ancient Greek tragedy , as the caller and the receiver was having problems to coordinate , of were to look ? ( keeping the phone upfront facing the camera), Plus, trying to listen its other from the tiny phone speakers ( internal &external , by keeping the phone 40 centimeters far from your face and ears .)!!
By having in mind that the V600i has the largest speaker in the opposite direction from the Video camera , the tragedy becomes larger .
Suddenly the caller started screaming , Heyyyyy This is 3Geeeeee call !!! hey !! 3Geeeeee , 3Geeeee , then we started to cooperate in the right direction .
It took as 10 seconds to coordinate .
After the first wasted 10 seconds, the communication established , and not only that , I activated the external main camera, and I was streaming high quality video of the surrounding buildings , and especially, the ancient large white tower, know as the proof that you really are, in Thessalonica .
White tower in Thessalonica = Big Ben clock in London .
I switched back ,at the front camera , and the communication was almost good , the video was good enough , but the callers voice was breaking up from time to time ,( I know that we have poor 3G coverage in my home town ) .
My first 3G video call shown practical issues that the users have to deal with , and the problems depends mostly, on the design of your phone .(practical or not )
The second 3G video call , was made by the person who we traveled together.
We had park the car at that time, and we were in a park , far from traffic and noises ( we was 30 meters away).
He has a Motorola (clamp cell) design (I do not know the model) , any way we had a great video call , sound and video was good , But !! the camera on his phone was in a spot that was easily gets smudged , and it was hard to clean it too .
After some wasted seconds ( trying to clean his lenses), I did got a cleaner image of him on my phone .
I was able to listen the sound of the caller, the speaker volume was sufficient at that specific environment .
Ok , its time for one, over all evaluation .
1) If I had with me the hands free cables OR the Bluetooth head Set , I would probably handle any 3G calls at any type of environment . ( As I would had only, to keep the phone facing my face ,and not worry about other things).
2) If I had explore the PROFILES menu up front , I would had set Ring alert & Vibra alert together ,Plus max ring volume . So, to not lose any calls, as long I had the phone on my cloths all day ( Traveling and moving around). At office I use the DSS base so Vibra is not needed .
3) With all the above in mind the V600i becomes the ultimate 3G communicating device .
About the other two phones Nokia 6630& Moto , the problems are known , but the praxis shown , that the problems is not just missing specs ,but serious design flaws .
The Moto for instance , haves a blurred yellowish display screen in comparison with the SE V600i .
I did watch streamed television program on the Moto, the performance was average almost smooth action (frames per second) but the Greek sub-titles from the English movie , was just visible ( Very low contrast ) .
The V600i and I believe & K750 (and all the latest SE models who shares the same screen , even at 50% setting (display luminosity ) the image quality is TOP( high contrast & luminosity) .
Both cameras in the Moto (Front & back) ,and the display screen gets easily smudged , and needs more cleaning period than the V600i, that with a simple caressing , its operational at easy.
As about the Nokia 6630, they’re not much to say, a great phone ,better camera than Moto , but for 3G video calls it’s like a handicap device .
That’s what I had seen with my own eyes, and I am really happy that I have the less problems , from the other phones , that also belong , in the middle and high priced range, of phones.
If I add, in the sum-total of my puzzle or theory, others people nags about unstable 3G reception with the Samsung D500.
My total proves that it’s hard to go wrong with the V600i , if you plan to use the 3G video call service today .
If you thing that I am wrong somewhere , I like to listen your argument , but support it well with real evidence .
As I did .
So to become a worthy tale, for further consideration .

I can speak about the hiden ones .
The V800 does not have in the camera, manual exposion corection, like +/_ 2 .
The V800 automatic white balance, gets easely fooled too.
I am a hobbyist photographer, so this details are easely detected
The V800 does not have a vofafone icon on the main menu , you have to remember by hart , all the numbers of the vodafone customer support lines .

We talk about phones
If I compare the V800 with my Olympus C2100, the V800 is just a toy.
If I compare the V600 with the Olympus C2100, The V600 it’s a better designed toy. (As digital camera).
I honestly believe that the V600 specs as photo camera is more near to the real thing, than the V800.
Image quality is another story.
Even if the Olympus C2100 haves internally a SONY 2.1MP CCD, and I believe that the V600 has also SONY CCD , the image quality its not comparable .
The positive parts about displays , is that both V800 and V600 shares a nice high contrast screens, good enough for most common tasks .
But keep in mind that the V600 size is another plus in the all design.
You can not have it all , that’s the point of the tale .
