orange and t mobile i'd say are great for customer service, o2 are good for pay as you go, for contract they are not so good, vodafone i dont like them at all. one reason i think o2 are good for customer service is cuz i was going to switch to orange pay as you go and pay £15 a month for 3000 off peak text msgs a month, and i went to o2 and asked them for my PAC code since i told them i was leaving to join orange, they asked why, i explained why and they said they would match the same tarrif of £15 a month for 3000 texts on pay as you go for my o2. So i said go ahead and do it, they told me it'l take 30 days to switch tarrif however they said as a good will gesture they will give me £20 free credit, so yay for o2 pay as you go.

I've just switched to O2's Talkalotmore Tariff from Orange because they currently have the best reward scheme with their 10% cash back. When I looked at signing up for Orange's Bonus Topup I found so many restrictions on how you use it wasn't worth the bother.

With O2 you don't have to worry about how, when or what calls you spend your reward money on.

Where I am O2 have the strongest signal. The customer care has always been excellent, the branding of their phones is less than all the others and their tariffs seem to be the cheapest.

The best thing to so is check on what covereage is like on where you live and work the most, This is where you would use the phone most with out you even knowing.

Im with Orange but do have all the other networks sim cards.
T-mobile in my experience has ok out door coverage but not so good indoor. I know from wherei live my main City (Sheffield) I can loose the T-Mobile Signal in a few pubs and clubs and loose the signal in most ot the shopping center at Meadowhall.
Other 3 networks are ok on the above.

At Matlock in Derbyshire, the coverage is good for all of the 4 networks, however going into shops change, Orange and Voda is all i get.

Some parts of Rotherham, When im in the gym only network i get is Orange and T-Mobile, how ever 3 miles up the road at a friends house and the only descent network there is 02 and T-mobile, However i get the other 2 but the signal isnt very strong.

At work in Chesterfield i work in a call center the only network i cant pick up is Voda. Go out side and it says full coverage however in the building is none. (the building is made of steel but has glass all around it.

Skegness used to be extremely poor for Orange coverage, this is now not the case,
Great Yarmouth has the strongest Orange coverege of all 3 networks,
Willingham woods at Lincs (Cafe) has poor coverage of 02, Orange and Voda. No coverage of T-mobile at all.

So it doesnt matter where you go or where you are there are go with what ever suits your needs. Mine is Orange, Gr8 Customer care, service and quality. 02 are cheaper but dont expect the world, Voda are ok but nothing to write home about, T-mobile are ok but for me expensive. (Virgin) uses the T-Mobile Network (Shame) But does have gr8 customers care.
Also Orange, Voda, Virgin have 24 hour customer care,
o2, T-mobile dont

hope this helps

Daz

O2 is the best. Then 3 for deals.

T-Mobile stores always smell like fart.
EVERY single one.

Voda is a scam.

3 give you good minutes, but their extras are pricey.

Orange is alright, but their branding is like pissing me off. Half your mobile's screen just to see their stinking menu.

But Voda is the demon!
VODA DEMON!

Having used all of Voda, T-Mob, Virgin, O2 and Orange over nearly twenty years, I rate O2 as the best network over all with Virgin second. My only gripe with O2 is the lack of delivery reports with SMS.

am i alone in disliking o2?
the way i see it, they offer reasonably good deals in return for awful customer service.
i do have a great signal, but no better than most others where i am. but be warned, if you live in lancaster uk, o2 is not the way forward apparently.

i suppose i havent been with another company for a few years now to compare, but nothing can get sorted out with o2. so you're fine if you have no problems. if you do, you're kind of stuck.

i dont rate voda though.

if ur talking about coverage the vigin will be the same as t-mobile, i used 2 b on t-mobile then moved to o2,

o2 is ok, still the network coverage could be better i think, expecially indoor,

i think orange are quite good but i cant do branded fones so cant really go with them,

voda are good but over priced
