I dropped my K750i lots of times, and there isnt a scratch on it - still brand new.

I keep it in a full body neoprene case though, and a wrist strap so if it does fall it wont get far OR bounce harmlessly with the amount of padding around it.

A friend of mine got a little scratch on the metal part around the phone and he claims its getting bigger and bigger by time. Sound crazy if its true!?
Could be another reason for buying a case then...

I have. Thank god it's in a pouch when I dropped it. And it wasn't exactly at freefall velocity only. Now I take really good care of it, placed a nice silicon case on it too.

been ice skating, and took a huge spectacular fall and landed on the side my k750 was in my pocket on, no damage what so ever, dropped if off my desk loads of times, and landed a few times with the screen hitting the metal sticky out leg of the desk, and not one scratch yet, also sometime after getting home from work no strangetr to lobbing it across the room onto the sofa! sounds a bit drastic and like i dont care or ungreatfull about having such an expensive phone but they were built to take a few knocks!

Is it possible that one stratch at the metallic part around the phone, can, in time, crack up and get bigger?
Also is it possible to change the metallic frame?

My dad manage to dropped his W800 twice yesterday onto a concrete flooring, just a wee minor scratch on the edges... He was very happy with the phone, he said he never used a phone that sturdy before.

Never and I hope it won't.
I'm not worrying about the brain damage form the falling of a phone but do care about the physical damage and the way it will look like after the falling.
I have dropped my T610 some times and it has some scrathes.
My girlfriend got her T630 fell and drove into a river in India and flew away about 10 meters or more but luckily the phone is still work fine but have damage allover the surface.

I'm so worry if my W800 fall the physical performance won't be as good as it was before...

If it will happen, you can always buy a new housing for it

Not that simple for SE since we can't apply new housing by ourselves as easy as that Blokia...
