I Think these indian operators have a unique modus-operandi. First they charge peanuts for services like these (even free sometimes!) and once people get dependent on them and starts using these features heavily, they start charging heavily! Good tactic hutch!

Around 8 to 10 KBps...which is better than standard dialup, and definitely worth a flat 199 rs per month

i agree that Hutch is being really cruel by charging like this. But what can v do about it? its therefore a good idea not 2 get hooked on 2 theese services. this is a warning for 3G though. 3G maybe launched at a throw away price and thn made expensive. We should be ready that time

And why do you reckon so, manish? I mean, what is the basis of your assumptions that
1) Hutch will be the 1st to launch 3g services
2) It will be very expensive

i didnt say hutch will be the fist to launch 3g services. And if hutch launches it, i think it will be more expensive coz 3g network isnt that easy to launch...

Okay...i take back question 1... i agree that launching 3g is an equally exensive process for any 2g provider....but how are you assuming that 3g on Hutch would be more expensive than 3g on another network???
