So much for looking after your existing customers.

That very ture. I find it a bit hard to understand how one departments has them, but the other don't. Is Orange one company or 3..4..5..6 etc.. |

Hmmm, contract upgrade available on the 9th sept, what's the chances of a shiny new w800 being available then as well? |

I've called OCR who say it's not yet in stock for upgrades however they acknowledge it is on the website which means it should be available 'anytime now'. They sure know how to look after their customers! |

I phoned orange yesterday (Tuesday 6th Sept.) and was told that the w800 was only for new customers. The operator didnt know when it would be available and couldnt even tell me if it would be "only" a couple of weeks away.
I agree with previous posters - Oranges ad ampaign about existing cutomers being treated the same as new is b0110cks.
You would like to think that internally they have a date when it will be offered to existing customers. You would also like to think that releasing that date would be important to customer retention. After all, people are more bothered about the phone than the network...

I for one am one really pXXXXd Orange customer. Have two contracts on premeir 600, and two on anytime 200, and i am now classed as a low user, not a high user, and have been quoted £250 upgrade fee, + £150 for the phone making a grand total of £400 for a phone I can buy sim free for £300. Orange really have lost the plot, and I for one will be taking all my contracts elsewhere as soon as is possible, ORANGE STINK, not happy at all, so let us see how much of a low spender I am when I take £300 a month to another network.

It's out from OCR as an upgrade!
I was just offered the handset for free on Select 500, 120 free texts per month. I paid an extra £9.99 for the handset to get Select 500 and 240 free txts per month.
Can't wait! |

What is Select 500 (I've read very little about it) - 500 xnet anytime? - what is the monthly line rental, and can you just ask outright for it, or do they only offer it to you and deny it exists if you ask for it specifically? |

They used to offer it to you when you said you were going to more to Three. It's 500 x-net minutes for £25 per month, essentially. Plus they bundled some free texts on top, also. |

So it's now hard/impossible to get offered it then? |

Are your cntracts up for renual? They should only charge an upgrade fee if you havent reached the end of your 12 month contract.

Right well that's what I want!! I have Select 500 and no texts (I pay for 30) so I at least want a free handset.
I take it you went to retentions - what other deal did you 'threaten' them with or did u just ask for it? |

Yes, Retentions. They had offered me this deal plus a bluetooth headset on a SPV C550 a few months ago when I said I was going to three (again). I just quoted the same deal when I called back re the W800 and they said they couldn't do the headset nor as many texts. |

Well, I have mine now and all I can say is BRILLIANT! |

How do I get this deal though - do i demand that this is what I want - (free handset) or do I try and present an offer another company gave me? Do i say 3 would match Select 500 and give me some texts (seeing as how 3 don't do W800)
Or do I say "what more can you offer me"?
